This is a completely kooky and fantastic stop on Route 66 that is a MUST SEE! The fact that John has amassed this vast array of great things and lets us view it all for free of charge is so generous and wonderful. There is no shortage of neat things to see everywhere you look inside and out! It was one of my four year old’s favorite spring break stops. He pretended to be a waiter in the dining area set up, serving shakes and burgers. But he especially loved the VW Bug coming out of the building that you can sit in. John was busy speaking to some other travelers but his buddy was our very helpful tour guide through the interior. If you are in the area and cruising down Route 66, stop and take a look see. You will not be disappointed! Don’t forget to sign the guestbook!

John's place is the quintessential Route 66 roadside attraction. It's hard to really explain, you just have to see it yourself. But it's not really about the half buried Volkswagen or the replica Twin Arrows or even the indoor movie theater... It's about John Hargrove himself. He has a remarkable story and is always eager to visit with travelers. If his gate is open, anyone is welcome to stop and look around!

Absolutely loved it!! I heard of this place from a friend a few days ago & I decided to go out & take this place a visit & I wasn’t disappointed at all. The outside is full of Route 66 & Retro memorabilia & the inside of the museum really took me by surprise. John was very welcoming & kind & he even gave us a tour of the whole museum & told us some of its history. His dog was kind & friendly as well!! I definitely recommend stopping by!!!!

I got to meet John and he happily share the history of his place. I enjoyed the theater room with it's old school diner counter.

I love John's place. He's just the nicest person. Showed us around his shop and gave us great advice on local Route 66 attractions. Can't wait to go back!

Do yourself a favor and stop by this place! John is so friendly and welcoming. He walked me around his museum and shared stories about some if the pieces he has collected over the past 20 something years I could have spent all day there looking g at hus creations John gave me a soda and several Route 66 guides. He let me wander around and take pictures of his property. John is 78 and still runs everyday. He definetly keeps busy building his museum! Everything there he built and collected. So glad I stopped!

Bizarre, worth a stop. I wasn't sure if it was somebody's home or a business? It was on a little map showing local places of interest so I did walk around a bit and looked at the decorations. I will say this, who ever did all of this work is a genius, and has a knack for producing fun art. Very interesting, an open sign in the window would be super helpful because I would have loved to see what was inside the buildings!

Fun, quirky place. The kids didn't think they would like it-but after they got there they did like it! John is a friendly man and his dog is very calm. He then directed us to part of the original highway 66!

Honestly wouldn't know if it's good or not because we couldn't get in. Us and several other vehicles pulled up to find the gates closed. Google says 12-6 daily the website link says sunrise to sunset. More information would have been nice.

What an awesome place right off Route 66! John is such an awesome, kind guy, with lots of neat stories to tell and sweet advice to give! The work he has put into his place for others to see is amazing. So much of it he built and made himself. You really can learn a lot and get some great photo opps! Definitely recommend to anyone in the area or passing through. Would love to stop by and see John and his sweet doggy again. (:
