Extremely disappointed after years of loyalty.
I’ve been a patient at this Aspen Dental location for years and always appreciated that they worked with my schedule. I’m a wildland firefighter with the USDA, and my schedule changes rapidly and often at the last minute due to wildfire assignments and government decisions. When I scheduled my recent annual appointment months ago, I made it clear that my ability to attend depended on the fire season. The staff told me at the time that they understood and would work with me if rescheduling became necessary.
Unfortunately, that no longer seems to be the case. I was recently notified that I’ll be attending a mandatory fire training next week and called to reschedule my appointment—something I’ve had to do several times this year due to active wildfire assignments. Despite explaining my situation again, I was told they would only schedule me one more appointment and that after that, I’d only be accepted as a walk-in because I’ve had to reschedule “too many times.”
To make matters worse, one of those “reschedules” was actually because Aspen canceled my appointment, not me—the dentist was out that day.
When I reminded them that they’ve known for years that I live out of state and that Oklahoma is my centralized location for all my medical, dental, and orthodontic care, I was told I should just go “back home” to my state instead. That kind of attitude is completely dismissive and unprofessional.
I’ve always respected and appreciated this office, but after years of loyalty, flexibility, and communication on my end, it’s disheartening to be treated like an inconvenience instead of a long-term patient. Aspen Dental markets itself as caring and understanding—but when it actually mattered, that compassion disappeared.
I would strongly urge other essential service workers or anyone with demanding, unpredictable schedules to think twice before trusting this office to accommodate your needs.

Had a tooth that needed to be emergently extracted, Was able to get in within 30 minutes of calling and my tooth was extracted same-day. Dr. Baird was very welcoming and made me comfortable and explained everything fully and made sure I understood what was happening. My extraction too less than 15 minutes. 10/10 will come back.

I had the best experience. I hadn't been to the dentist in 4 years and I have really bad anxiety over going to the dentist. But I felt very welcome at Aspen Dental in broken arrow!! I went home smiling and happy with my experience!

Everyone at Aspen Dental were very nice, and professional. The dentist explained everything clearly and took time answering all my questions about upcoming procedures. I would definitely recommend Aspen Dental.

Hung up on at reception, because she “didn’t like the way I was speaking to her”, but couldn’t elaborate on HOW I was speaking that she didn’t appreciate. I asked for pricing, once informed they didn’t accept my child’s insurance - after making the appointment more than a week ago. She refused to provide pricing, when I asked for a supervisor she hung up. Called back and spoke to someone who identified themselves as the Manager, Hannah. She advised me of the pricing but had no answers as to why I was hung up on previously. Told to call their main #, and complain there. Stop hiring people to answer phones when they don’t even know what insurance your company accepts, and they can’t handle basic questions. I HOPE the call was truly recorded so they can hear how idiotic their receptionist is. Maybe it was a blessing in disguise, now I can take my insurance and my cash money somewhere that employs people who actually care about patients and their jobs.

Showed up on a Wednesday for 10am appointment when I called in two days before to confirm. But the receptionist with a hijab blamed me for not confirming and on top of that tried to tell me I was late once three appointments ago which supposedly justifies them not taking 10 seconds to call me the day of to reschedule since aspen overbooked. I don’t have a problem rescheduling but I do have a problem with no one taking responsibility and throwing it on the customer. Simply call me couple hours before and tell me you are overbooked and want to reschedule . I am in customer service myself so I understand. So I will let my money talk and take mine and my family’s business somewhere else since there are so many dentists around. Hopefully this helps anyone who wanted to know how this office operates.
