They quoted me $160 on a prime rib, when I arrived to pick it up they charged $270 for it.
Although I am grateful they cut some off and gave me what I originally ordered. They were not happy about it and they let that be known. I was told it would be $160 when I preordered it. It was not my fault and I didn't deserve to be treated like it was.

Good quality meats but not so good butcher skills. I bought a 14 lb turkey and asked the butcher to spatchcock it and when I got it home it looked like it had been run over with a lawnmower. Good meats, poorly trained butchers and with practice they’ll figure it hopefully.

I thought it was so strange, that every time I walked in here, the employees seemed to be bothered by having to serve a customer. No worries, I thought, buying local is important to me so I’ll just order online so make it easier. I placed an order in August. It is currently October and I have not yet heard from them on when to pick up my order. I call, no one answers. I emailed, no response. $40 down the drain!

I will say we typically love this place and get great tasting meat. Last time we were there. I ordered a lot of meat. The 10lb of chicken I didn't realize I didn't get until after getting home and the gallon of fresh milk was bad. I will say we all are people and make mistakes and it's half my fault for not checking before leaving that I received everything. The milk issue, I have gotten milk at grocery stores and got home to realize it was bad. It happens. I will just check before leaving. All in all my husband and myself love the products we get from there.

Updated: is second paragraph. I posted after the owners response.
They leave the bone in each ribeye adding several dollars per steak that ends up in the trash. I don’t particularly care about the bone flavor argument When three steaks cost $125. Ribeye already taste great and I have yet to find any steak house that serves bone in ribeye. I shouldn’t have to specify boneless ribeye. Never had this happen at any other butcher. Wanted to support a near by butcher. Not made of money it was a special occasion tho the steak quality was ok at best. But at $26 per pound and the bone weight I weighed is 1.44 lbs. I spent $37 on waste.
The owner’s response makes it clear that they are just trying to charge the customer for waste and make a profit on something they should have thrown out. YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE TO SPECIFY THAT YOU DONT WANT TO BE SOLD WASTE. After reading the owner’s response to many other negative reviews it seems they care more about being right than making things right. Reducing my rating from three starts to one.

It was my first time getting meat from a butcher & I was a lil nervous. The duo working were so kind & helpful with any questions/suggestions I had.I planned to go as a one off, but my experience was so positive I am going to regularly buy from here now! Cannot recommend enough!

Their ground Elk is $22 a pound. That's at least double what can be found elsewhere from organic, cruelty free farms throughout the U.S.
So defensive of a response! Wow! First Light Farms out of California. That's who! $10 per pound and shipping was free with my first order. Fed Ex delivery and arrived frozen and packaged perfectly. There are other places out there. I'm a consumer not a company. They've factored in their costs and offer better prices. You sound like a bitter person.

I wanted to try out a butcher shop there’s not too many left in Tulsa so I went to this store on Elm Harbor meats and the lady in there call or 40s blonde hair was super rude and impatient and there was no one in the store. I then asked if there were flyers with all their meat packages because most butcher shops have something like that And she just has such a bad attitude when I asked about it that I just turned around and walked out because I won’t be disrespected like that definitely will never come back to the store again or for any Harvard meat store at that

Fantastic store. We had some sausages tonight, wow. Very good quality. Perfectly spiced. Garlic cheese. It was my first time there, and we will be back. The butcher, whom was very friendly, cut a roast just for my needs, can't wait for that tomorrow night. Very clean store, both employees very nice and knowledgeable. The meat was so good looking and reasonably-priced that I'm going back for more .UPDATE: we had the roast that I bought yesterday, it was such an amazing cut of meat. Very tasty. We definatley will be buying our meats from there. I also bought local honey from there, that was drizzled onto our cereal this morning it was delicious as well. UPDATE: I WENT BACK TO GET MORE HONEY, 2 BOTTLES, AND MORE MEAT. WE GOT A TRI TIP THIS TIME. AND MORE SAUSAGE. WOW. GOOD QUALITY MEATS, AND SO VERY NICE AND FRIENDLY. WELL BE BACK SOON.

People are extremely rude. I asked a question about some hot links & got snapped at. First & last time to ever walk in the doors.

I purchased a side of beef from the Broken Arrow store and took advantage of the offer of a free freezer with the purchase of a side of beef. The quality of the meat was excellent; however, the cost of the meat was just over $1600 after tax, and I only got 123 pounds of meat. That means I paid about $13 a pound for steaks, roasts, and hamburger. After that meat ran out, I went to Beard Brothers Meat and bought a side of beef. They told me up front how much the side weighed and the price was $5.00 per pound no matter how I wanted it cut. The side weighed 415 pounds and I paid just over $2000 but I got over 350 pounds of meat. At less than $6 a pound net it was a much better deal.

We are new in this area and my wife told me yesterday she would like some brats. I don't care for Johnsonville brats so I did a Google search for fresh brats in Broken Arrow. The search brought up Harvard meats so I went there today. I bought 8 garlic cheddar brats and they are EXCELLENT. I am glad I bought enough for two meals and I will be back to try more of their varieties. This is a full service fresh meat shop. Give them a try for all the fresh meats you are looking for.

My husband and I discovered this amazing meat market this week when searching for a top-notch prime rib roast. They were helpful in preparing it just as I wanted. We were so impressed that we decided to stop by this afternoon to buy bone-in pork chops and am I glad we did! I simply seasoned them and cooked them in my air fryer about 12 minutes and they were the BEST chops we’ve ever eaten. EVER! Juicy, tender, and full of flavor. We’ve ordered chops at fine restaurants before that don’t hold a candle to the ones we bought at Harvard Meats. We highly recommend this meat market. You won’t be disappointed ????. Family run and super friendly/helpful!
