DO NOT USE THIS INSURANCE COMPANY!! Had them for 2 weeks, found cheaper insurance, called to cancel, they approved and then took another payment anyway. Took forever to get ahold of them, said they'd refund it, just to take forever to get ahold of again and then got told they weren't going to refund me. Worst insurance company ever, would give zero stars if I could.

Horrible insurance company. My car was stolen and wrecked and was asked many questions and for a notary signature and photos and video of my car being stolen just to tell me they can’t do anything for me and remind me I only have liability. Like I get that but it’s not my fault my car was stolen and some guy tried killed himself with him while I’m working. The general’s employees remind me they aren’t going to do anything for me even tho they need all this information from me.

This company sucks!!!!! Customer service sucks and you would think being called "The General", that they would support our military. The do NOT!! They need to be sued!

worst claims experience i have ever had. no call backs from my claims rep or her mailbox is full..........car still not fixed four months later. RUN AWAY FROM THE GENERAL.

Had to do all the leg work. Could not even get our car towed from the wrecker to a repair shop without us. They scheduled a the tow. For over a week everyday I called asking why it has not been moved yet. They told me they did not know, but it was scheduled. I asked for the number of the tow service they were using. They gave me a number that was discontinued. So I called the wrecker it was at and asked them if anyone called about picking it up. They said speedy's, but did not have a number. So I called every speedys in my state until I found the right one. They did not pick it up because they did not have a name or number of the owner of our vechile.... that is just the start. The wreck was a month ago and we are still dealing with this. We got a call Friday July 14th with what they would offer us for the totaled vechile. They said they would call back Monday. Nothing on Monday. Tuesday we sent then a message. Got nothing in return. Today Wednesday we messaged and called and still nothing from them... This has been the absolute worst experience ever. So much more was wrong with this process. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Worst insurance ever, been with them three years then had a small incident and my rates were raised $1100 a year. Their part paid was $400. Bad experience from start, they couldn’t even get my initial information right. If you desire the worst insurance experience ever go with them.

Worst company I have ever dealt with in my entire life. I honestly have lost respect for Shaq for even being involved with this company. It’s been weeks and they still haven’t addressed my claim on one of their drivers hitting me. The customer service is nonexistent. If you get in an accident with one of their drivers just know that you will be dealing with multiple headaches. I am without transportation and they do not care nor sympathize with you.

I paid almost 300 dollars for one month of insurance and found a different provider that wants less than 100 dollars for the same coverage so I cancelled. I had been with the General for less than 5 days and they refused to prorate any of the amount due to a “cancellation fee”. I will absolutely not recommend The General to any of my friends, family, or acquaintances. Most ridiculous insurance agency I have ever encountered.

I had an accident in 2016. This heavy duty Ford 250 bumped into my rear with 65 miles an hour, while stopped at a red light, in Pryor, OK. They had insurance with The General. People from this insurance company are Thieves!!! Got e-mails with the settlement, proof of what they should have pay towards my Bills, they haven't pay it for 4 years almost now, and Ruined my credit score, by having a collection for hospital Bills which were in their care to pay! WARNING, if you find yourself in the same situation, request the entire amount sent to you, and pay your own Bills. Otherwise they will cheat you!!! .
