First camping trip of the year and first time visiting broken bow area. Premium river front camping spot was level and very clean. Restrooms and showers were clean as well. Plenty of good hiking areas and fishing spots too. Gave 4 stars due to no hot water in the showers and the constant siren going off for the dam. Overall would recommend for a fun camping trip and will be back again.

Beautiful scenery. When staying in the Broken Bow/Hochatown area you must come visit Beavers Bend State park. Scenic drive through the park and you can fish year round in the waters that flow through the park.

There is so much beauty in this place. So many places to walk around and explore. Little creeks to find lots of cool rocks, and see what the beavers do to trees. We loved it! Breath of fresh air.

A beautiful state park with something for every kind of nature lover, from hiking to canoeing to camping & beyond. Known for fishing & boating, the lake & river are ideal. Paddle boats, horses & mini train add to the fun. The new Lookout restaurant has views of the river & friendly staff. The only negative is online paid parking is required but limited service in the park to actually pay it.

Was very highly disappointed this year. Every Christmas we do at least a 10 day camp at the park. This year we reserved in the summer for the new Buckeye section. It accepted our reservations and we drove 4 hours to see the site. Last month the camp calls and says they will be doing repairs in the new section and we would have to move. We understood and was able to get our normal campsite. The 11 days we were there not once did we see any work being done. I even went down checked the water and the electricity. They both worked properly. Nothing was tore up and only one handicap site had a barricade in front of it. This is not acceptable to do to people. Also prepare to be overrun by Texans. They are very where which is fine except most are fishing in Oklahoma waters without a license. Fish and Games will not respond to check license so Oklahomans who pay taxes and buy license get shoved out of key fishing holes

Beautiful place, we rented a cabin for our 25th anniversary and it was so nice to get away from everything. The cabins are well appointed with a kitchenette and a full bathroom. If you're planning on cooking, bring your own kitchen supplies. The cabins and the site look to be from the WPA area but everything has been modernized and well maintained. One word of caution on the fireplace, as this is original WPA construction, the fireplace works best with a good hot fire, otherwise it won't draw well and you'll end up with smoke in the cabin. We will be back!

A hidden jewel in Oklahoma. Located outside of the city of Broken Bow this breathtaking scenery is one you and your family will thoroughly enjoy. Park highlights are the train rides, museum and hiking trails. 5 star vacation destination.
