There really are not a ton of restaurants to choose from in Hochatown and this one has been one of our better experiences. We went for brunch on a Sunday and got there right when they opened so we didn't have a wait. It reminds more of a fast casual restaurant where you order at the front of the board and then they call your name or number when the food is ready and you get your tray. The bar is out back on the patio, so we had to get our mimosas out back and come back inside to our table. My husband said his breakfast burrito was ok, not the best. I had the lobster chowder and it was very good. Others ordered the fried catfish and fish tacos and they were good. Overall a solid meal, but I really think it depends on what you get. The fried okra and hushpuppies were also good.

Shuck me was awesome!! Their catfish filets are huge!! Staff was friendly, clean and inviting atmosphere. Delicious food!! Reasonable prices!! We will be back!

Wow… I reeeally wish I had read the reviews first ?♀️ DO NOT EAT THERE! Old dried out pre-cooked pancakes were not edible. Luke warm eggs at best. Gravy contains sausage and wasn’t hot. Dangerous. Someone really needs to call the health department before someone gets sick. I don’t usually write reviews but I don’t want anyone else ripped off or sick. It it’s a shame cause the place looks cool.

This was our first stop on our family of 8 vacation. We were very disappointed in everything we ordered besides the raw oysters. The atmosphere was good. The the price was decent but if you want seafood, this place isnt it.

Food was straight up terrible would have been better off going to McDonald’s ,spent close to 100$ for two people so maybe my expectations was set to high , no I did not ask for a refund but guarantee if asked while there my experience “food is terrible would have been my reply” Shuck Me Hochatown (Owner)

The food looked good, but was subpar for the price. I got the Shrimp Alfredo and the noodles were old and it was drowning in luke-warm sauce. My husband got the fish & chips, which was pretty good. Overall, my margarita was the best part the meal.

Price was fairly typical for a tourist spot. We went on a Sunday evening and they were definitely were not ready for the amount of people there. I got the grilled snapper, it was good but you could tell it had been sitting in the window waiting to be served as it barely had any warmth left.
