Very good place to go without all the hiked prices of Hochatown.

Their fudge is terrific! We got a mixed box of six and our favorite was the dark chocolate & salted caramel. This is the best fudge I have had. Big thumbs up to the Whippoorwill Fudge & Sweet Shoppe!Kid-friendliness: Tons of candy and fun things to buy.

This was our 1st stay in Broken Bow and Whip-poor-will was the perfect location. We stayed in #9 and it was the perfect location and view. This is the honeymoon cabin and is decorated perfectly. You can hear the log trucks since it is located near the highway but we have a little fan and when it was on we could not hear the traffic. This was in no way a deal breaker. Nice trails and the location and it was very quite and peaceful. The bed was comfortable, ac/heat worked and fire place did not smoke up the room. Pet friendly is the plus and Lucy loved her stay. We can't wait to return. Candy shop has a lot of items but we did not get any but will try next time. Customer service was very good

This review is strictly based on the candy shoppe. I'm so glad we stopped by here on the way from Hochatown to our cabin! It's a cute little shop with tons of candies and fudge to choose from. I gathered a bagful of the chocolate candies of different varieties for just $10/lb. I wish they would have had more dark chocolate options. Otherwise lots of fun candies and throwbacks of kinds you probably haven't seen in a long time. Great for souveniers to bring home!

We have been coming to WPW resort for the last 9 years. This is the worst experience we have had here. The cabins were not cleaned properly and the hospitality was poor.

I have been coming to Whippoorwill since I was 10, i'm now in my late 20s and enjoy bringing my own family here for vacation! Its quiet, clean, and comfortable. They provide firewood (HUGE BONUS) and it's close to the state park and other local attractions. The owners are friendly and hospitable. No stay at Whippoorwill is complete without some of the delicious homemade fudge from the store up front.

This was my first trip to the Beavers Bend area, but my wife used to come to the area with her parents. Whip Poor Will is under new ownership. Kenneth and Jennifer were great! The cabins are comfortable, have cable tv, and a good kitchen for cooking. The fudge is amazing!!! We can't wait to see this area in all seasons.

Best cabins. We stayed in #10. 3 bedrooms 2 large decks. Plenty of space to have 10 people comfortably. Very quite and owners are very sweet and kind. You have to stop at the store and try some jelly beans and homemade fudge. Will def stay again.

My husband and I stay here every year in the autumn. We absolutely love it, and will continue to go again and again. I love how rustic the place is without any paved roads or sidewalks.

Affordable, clean, charming and comfortable. We just got back from Spending Memorial Day weekend at whip poor will. Never been to the beavers bend area and the state park itself was booked solid. Luckily we found whip poor will online and to our surprise it was very charming. It is within a five min drive to the state park and as it turns out- even if you get a cabin inside of the state park/ you will still Need a car to get around. So this was perfect! The kids loved having our own cabin with our own fire pit, outdoor seating, etc. the cabin was clean and had all the comforts of home (pots, pans, utensils, linens, etc.) I was about to cry when I realized I forgot the smores sticks bc I know that is the kids favorite camping activity and low and behold there were 4 sticks stocked in the kitchen cabinet! The only thing u might want to bring would be paper towels or Napkins. Everything else is provided. You can bring food to store in the fridge:freezer and then choose to cook on the fire or on the grill or just cook it up on the stove or in the oven or even in the microwave! You can make this camping trip as comfortable as you want or as rugged as you want :) I just like having my own bathroom that is clean. Warren and marguerite were very accommodating and run a nice quaint getaway. I can't say enough good things since I am anti-camping and this trip would have me come back again!

I recently got back from a bachelor party weekend at Beaver's Bend where we stayed at the Whip Poor Will resorts. And let me tell you what, this place is well worth it if you're looking for a weekend hiking, fishing, drinking, and just plain exploring the open vastness of Oklahoma's wilderness. It's a family owned operation (that also run the fudge shop out front,) so you'll get good service from the get-go. Then, you'll get directed to your cabin, which come with a fire pit, fire wood, and all the necessities inside. The cabins are traditional log cabin with pine interior construction, a fridge, full kitchen, and TV for your late night viewing pleasure. The beds are pretty damn comfortable as well. Even though you're going to be out an about pretty much all day long, it's nice to be able to come back to a nice, clean cabin at a good price point to pass out in. We'll be back next Spring.

We visited Whip-poor-will cabins with our five month old and two year old sons and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The cabins are arranged in a manner very similar to the state park, but with more privacy. Cabins 16, 17, and 18 are relatively close to the highway but with a pond and trees between the cabins and the road the occasional semi truck or loud motor cycle were the only times we really even noticed. All of the other cabins were nicely tucked into the quite and private woods. Our son LOVED the ponds, play ground area, and fudge shop. The cabins are clean, well laid out, fully equipt, and charmingly furnished with antiques and comfortable beds. The best feature of this cabin resort was the friendly and attentive customer service. The cabins are obviously a labor of love for the owners Warren and Marguerite who are involved in every aspect of the operation from handing you your key when you arrive to giving our son fudge samples in the candy store and dropping off fire wood daily at the cabins. I would definitely recommend Whip - poor - will for families and look forward to trying out their other cabins.

We've stayed here twice in the past few months and will definitely visit again! The cabins make for a great weekend away from the city. Both the one bedroom and efficiency sizes were plenty of room for two (and two small dogs). We haven't had any specific issues arise but the owners offered their assistance should we need anything at all.
