The area badly needs the hospital, & doubtless there are good people remaining there, but our experience was horrible. I was wary of a provider there, because of word from my family & a former coworker. Several months ago, my mother was taken to the ER. The provider in question slammed the door in my face, & refused to tell me what tests he'd run & what the results were. I've never been treated more rudely in a hospital. Most recently, my mother was admitted there, & to credit the devil, he probably saved her life. However, there were serious issues & he can't bear to be informed nor does he tolerate any suggestion that his manner is unacceptable. There's an enormous problem here with nepotism. I was informed that I couldn't complain about anyone because they were cohesive & it wasn't acceptable to object at all about anything. I was shouted down repeatedly, insulted, & the nurse screamed--literally!-- in the hallway, that I was crazy. They hurled many accusations at me, baseless in fact, & were far too arrogant to be enlightened. Then, a sycophant LPN, a little follower, ignorant sort, jumped all over me in the most uppity authoritarian way for raising my voice to her. I had not raised my voice, & she had just gleefully witnessed her coworkers yell at me for at least 10 minutes, in the most abusive & unprofessional way possible. No one began to ask why I felt as I did or if the situation could be rectified; I was viciously verbally attacked. When I insulted the LPN in retaliation, she aped martyrdom as though their gross misbehavior never occurred. There was also a great deal of spite & presumptiorn concerning my mother's premature & inappropriate dismissal.I have heard from others in the community of serious problems & HIPPA violations, but people are afraid to complain.
