Vickery Phillips 66 StationTulsa, Oklahoma is a must see if you love history about how the Phillips 66 got started.Vickery Phillips 66 StationOklahoma State Historic Preservation OfficeOklahoma Historical SocietyIn the 1920s, Tulsa was without exaggeration the oil capital of the world, which caused its downtown to experience major growth. In 1926, with the designation of Second Street as U.S. Route 66, businesses that catered to the traveling public, such as gas stations, diners, and tourist camps, replaced private residences. In the fall of 1930, Phillips Petroleum Company purchased a property near downtown Tulsa at the corner of Sixth and Elgin Streets and replaced a two-story home with a gas station in 1931.

We travel this turnpike weekly and my husband and son say the men's restroom is so disgusting. They said they have to be careful about where and how they stand to avoid urine in the bathrooms. Gross! It's an ongoing problem!

There are a number of these cottage-style Phillips 66 stations along Route 66. This is the only one we found where you can go inside and see it as it used to be. It's gutted but you can still tell where the rest rooms were and just appreciate how small it is. A real treat.

I like OnCue it's always been one of my preferred places to go while on the road working. Coffee is a must when racking the miles up, but I was disappointed on my breakfast burrito I had. It was being made when I ordered it prior to it be placed under the heat lamp. I really didn't expect it to be cold. I went back for my second cup and let him know it was cold and I didn't eat it. He gave me ever excuse why it shouldn't be cold, and I told him "it never was under the lamp. It was obviously cold because the ingredients were cold when it was put together". He offered another and I declined because I really didn't want any eggs after my first attempt at eating cold one.... I don't recommend it. I did request the cost of the chicken but I declined . The least they could have done was gave me my coffee or refunded my money. I'll think twice before stopping here again. FYI we have currently more deaths in a day than 911. There have been several days like this. The door has signage for mask to be worn. This Employee DID NOT wear mask at all on both times I was in the store nor do the locals. Sonics down the road if you want a hot burrito and coffee without the chance of catching Covid here!
