Great local family owned restaurant. The food is good an although they are short staffed, the staff they have work very hard to make sure everyone has a great experience. I definitely recommend this place, the owners are extremely nice. In fact, the first time we tried to eat here, we were new in town and didn't know they closed at 8. We walked in right about 8 and they told us they were closed, but then one of the owners offered to lead us to another restaurant in town that would still be open. That sort of kindness is rare and it was definitely a contributing factor for us deciding to go back while they were open. I highly recommend the catfish! Literally some of the best I've ever had

This place is absolutely worth stopping in Clayton for. The food is incredible, and the pie... OMG the pie. Dude, I'll go to Clayton from Dallas JUST for one of those pies. Also, the people are super chill; makes it feel more like you're at someone's home. 10/10 will try again.

This is now the "The Southern Stark." These are new owners, and they are great. The respect my family got as we were trying to pray over our food while the new owner was going around and checking on customers was greatly appreciated. I enjoyed meeting and getting to know them, as my husband and I stop in all the time there to eat on our way to and from Texas. The food is great. "A must try is the Hot Roast Beef dinner."Kid-friendliness: My grandson was with us and he had the cheeseburger and fries..he loved them..he is very picky might I add also. So this is a compliment to the chef.

We were surprised to find such a great restaurant in the small town of Clayton. My son said it was the best cheeseburger he has ever had and said he wants to go back on every visit to the area.Parking: Plenty of room for my truck and trailer.Wheelchair accessibility: No steps.

Let me start by saying that this restaurant truly embodies the essence of comfort food. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a cozy atmosphere that instantly made me feel at home. The hospitality here is simply unmatched! If you're craving some good ol' fashioned comfort food and a dining experience that feels like a warm hug, head over to K - Country in Clayton, Oklahoma. Your taste buds and your heart will thank you!

I bought a loaf of zucchini bread, I had their delicious cheese cake!I also had dinner & the next morning breakfast there.Friendly, ? like patrons. I had no internet or phone service in this area. They let me use theirs to let my children & grand children know Where I was & that I was safe!Police eat there too & were able to assure me with what to do if I had a medical emergency while there. Two patrons let me join them so I could work & charge my computer & phone. The electrical outlets were behind their table. Then one of the patrons drove me to a nearby bank, so I could be a blessing!I met an OK State Represenitative & author Bud Mass there.Learned about the author of the song, "Swing Low Sweet Chariot" is from nearby in the town of Antlers OK!Vegetarian options: They will cook your food to order, fresh, huge portions! One of the fastest, polite, patient, knowledgeable wait staff of anywhere I have been in this country! (I read the whole menu)This place has the best posted sayings I have ever been to. I wanted to get a photo of all of them! It is at least 50+ hanging up. They make you laugh, think reflect... awesome unexpected experience!Dietary restrictions: They did food with or without whatever was requested there were many seniors there. The lunch rush were workers of every description from hunters, house wives, families, construction, church choir, a state senator, & travelers like me.Some people were diabetic, some in wheelchairs, some in high chairs, some had come from being alone at home.It is a gathering place for friends, childhood & life long friends, a small town that embrace single people who live alone or whose loved ones have died! It is a community fellowship place & they included me in this family! I met 3 generations of some families! There was a much needed hug for the lonely. It made me feel good enough to share it with you!
