Dr. Stites has been my vet for 20 years. He is hands down the best vet I have ever known and at my age being an animal lover I've known alot. He is caring and will go to great lengths to do everything he can for your loved animals. I love this man and so grateful I found him. Thank you Dr. Stites. You're one in a million!Terry Schwaighofer

We took our 5 1/2 month old kittens in to be spayed. One kitten became lethargic and started breathing rapidly so we took her back in and he said that he thinks “she’s just being a wuss and just doesn't like pain.” I showed him her rapid breathing but he hardly looked her over at all and gave her a pain shot. The next day we went back in he gave her an X-ray at that point after we insisted something was wrong. He called me back into the room, showed me the X-ray, and said she had severe pneumonia and she had really no chance of making it but he would keep her and do what he could. He called hours later and told us she died. Today (just 6 days after losing her) we noticed the other kitten’s incision looked swollen so we took her into another vet’s office because we no longer trust Stites. They said she has a hernia and are doing immediate exploratory surgery on her now. We are praying she makes it through. Please do not trust this man with your fur babies.

I took my baby girl in there after she had eaten rat poison. He didn’t ask what kind it was or anything. He just gave her a vitamin K shot and sent me home with Vitamin K pills. Turns out, the vitamin K was useless for the kind of poison she ingested. I had to say goodbye to my baby girl at the emergency vet the next morning. If I had known the vitamin K wouldn’t have worked, I would have taken her somewhere else. They are nice people, but not the most knowledgeable.

Friendly staff, clean establishment and close to the highway. Expect to have money at time of service and plan for potential prescriptions because there is not a get now pay later option regardless of the situation.

On your pets best day, they are smiles and supportive, and fun. They know their stuff and are so helpful for the big and small things alike. And on your pets hardest days, on your pets last day, they're comfort and support that you don't get anywhere else, as though you're family and your dog is their dog.Thank you for making the loss of our family member as easy as possible. Thank you for giving us as much time in our last moments as possible and not rushing us.Thank you.

I'd been taking my pets to Dr. Stites for 23 years, and wish I could continue. 23 years of 5 star service that's now decimated. I called them to get an appointment for a very sick cat that had just been released by the animal hospital in Tulsa with instructions to take her treatment plan directly to our veterinarian for additional meds; the meds recommended by and administered while inpatient. An over-the-top rude and arrogant woman answering the phone refused. Said that we needed to have contacted them before taking the cat to the hospital, which we had. In fact, the reason the cat was taken to the hospital was from their referral. I don't believe this information was ever understood my Ms rude and arrogant because I was not allowed to speak or explain anything. She shouted and cursed at me and would speak over me whoever I tried to say anything. I finally just had to hang up. She really had no idea about the reason for the call or requested immediate appointment. I did get to hear that she's "Dr. Stites girlfriend" and she decides who can have access to him., ie., she's important, clients are not. Even though I'd had several people tell me to be careful around Dewey Vet Clinic, that there was s crazy woman running the show there now, I had ignored their advice. Everything had seemed fine until this call. I was totally horrified to witness what's become of a business I had highly respected but has now become a mockery in the pet community around Bartlesville. Within moments thereafter I had an immediate appointment with a new veterinarian who took this special needs kitten right in and gave her the continued care she needed.

Do not use - charges for services that aren’t performed then charges you again for them. We spent thousands of dollars with this clinic and they lost our business over $46. Their staff is extremely rude and hateful.
