Messy and a little dingy, customer service is typically alright and there are some friendly staff and some not so friendly staff. They do seem to keep their cat food selection restocked which we appreciate. The isles are a little tight to maneuver in places with a wheelchair but its doable. They offer self checkout but it's down for maintenance quite a bit.

The management is abysmal at best. I was trespassed because I reported a human trafficking incident on Easter. Edmond PD has been contacted but I feel it was a retaliatory response due to ineptitude. Tony is OK, Tonya is an extremely unprofessional manager. My fiance was a supervisor until that incident, she quit for her safety. I would avoid this store because there is an active group of traffickers in town

The manager there is awful. Chase, or whatever his name was, was extremely unprofessional. The lady at the check out was sweet and did all she could. Tall and African American, I didn't catch her name. About 5 minutes into our shopping Chase went into the back and about an hour later he finally came back out after her calling him for about 30 minutes. The checkout line was completely backed up and looped. He was pandering looking in the back for dominoes of all things. She kept calling him on the radio, which I know she was using right, but he made it seem like he didn't hear a thing. Along with the fact the store was a mess. Boxes strewn out everywhere, and supplies on the floor and carts blocking areas because they hadn't unpacked them. According to my boyfriend, who's gone to this dollar general multiple times within the past few years, it's always been like this. The store was overall very dirty.

I read a lot of the reviews prior to writing this one. I agree with some of the concerns that have been expressed. I have had multiple online orders canceled without notice and I do think the store needs more employees as well. My rating is mostly reflective of the employees and manager of the store. This store specifically is cleaner than others I have been to. They have everything I am looking for when I go there, but even with cancellations and sparse employees in the store, the staff is absolutely amazing.I had an incident with a Dollar General employee who, does not work at this store but was working at this store the day I went shopping there. The incident itself was extremely upsetting. I went to the self checkout register. One of the regular employees was replacing the receipt paper on the register I went to use. Standing there waiting for her to finish, she could see I was about to cry. She asked me if I was okay. I proceeded to explain to her what had transpired 10 minutes prior involving an employee there. During my conversation with her, I really tried hard not to cry, but I was a mess because of the incident. This employee stopped everything she was doing, listened, genuinely comforted me in that moment and gave me the general manager's personal number. I contacted him and he initiated an investigation into what had happened at their store. During this time he communicated with me several times and handled my complaint with the seriousness it deserved.I recently visited the store for the first time since the incident I spoke of. There was new employees who were amazing to deal with.Sometimes you need to remember the issues in a store have nothing to do with the employees or management. They are only doing the best they can with what corporate has given them.I won't shop at any other Dollar general. This store has shown that they truly care about their customers and will do what they can to help you in any situation.

MAJOR TURN AROUND in the Danforth store! Aisles are totally uncluttered! Full shelves!!! Still great prices!!! Many thanks to "Christine" and her team for a Super Improvement. I'll be back!

Disaster. I was in the store for 15 ish minutes. No one working, Fedex Delivery yelling hello for 5 minutes throughout the store before just leaving. Self check out wasnt working but, again, no one around. Finally lady comes from the back yelling at the two or three people waiting that she is the only one working, trying to do 35 things at once. 1. She shouldnt be left alone, she is obviously overwhelmed by 35 things to do and 2. She was yelling at us? For her not being visable for 15 minutes? Presidents Day between 10 and 11am. Verify it and do better.

If I could leave a 0 star review I would. I walked in to the store tonight with the manager or shift leader outside on her phone, inside there is a gentleman at the register cussing to all the customers in the store because it wasn't his fault someone came behind the counter I guess? He kept dropping cuss words left and right too all of the customers making it very uncomfortable. Talking about if there was or wasn't a god, allah, or budah. I get into my car to look out and see yet again the manager/shift lead on her phone again. That is after she went back inside instigated a little more by repeatedly telling him don't let people behind the counter, arguing with him and walking back out. Jim and his shift lead made this encounter extremely unfamily friendly and quiet frankly I will not be coming back to this store. It is ridiculous that I come to spend my hard earned money here and this is what the customers are met with. Absolutely unacceptable. And then they leave the entire store unattended while they argue outside.

Apparently this is the only dollar general in the state that does not have a public restroom .the employee said it’s “dollar general policy”. I travel throughout the state and go to Dollar General all the time and I’ve always been able to ask the clerk for a key to the restroom and I’ve never had any issues.this is a first for me . Oh well needless to say i bought what I came in for and left I will not be returning To this location.
