“This is such a lovely local bookshop! They have a wonderful wide variety of books, including best sellers and classics, plus some wonderful local and/or autographed copies. It's cozy and friendly, with tons of great kids books, too. When my kids both had big emotions while shopping, the shopkeeper was super kind, making suggestions and showing my daughter coloring pages and buttons she could help herself to. By the next day, she was already asking to go back and pick out books for her birthday!”
“This place is always great. If you have questions, need repairs or have any issues they are willing to help. We have bought four RC cars here....so far and will continue.”
“This store is awesome!
Simon was dope, he helped me for like an hour looking for the last item in stock, and we found it! Highly recommended, good energy at this location.”
“***Edit as of the same evening** Ryan, one of the owners reached out to me and apologized. I really appreciate that an owner would take time to reach out and make ammends. I've increased my rating from a 2 to a 4. Thank you Ryan for reaching out.
Really frustrated after leaving today. I had a terrible interaction with the girl at the front this evening. Normally I enjoy being in this shop, but after today I doubt I'll be back. The girl at the front (too mad to catch her name) ignored us initially. My friend wanted to buy a few things and asked for the girl's help. She stared at my friend and said no and sat there for a few before eventually getting up to ask what my friend wanted. The pause was honestly long enough that we thought she was serious until she got up. We ignored that interaction at first. I was still looking and debating and decided after my friend had bought her items. I asked for a specific tin which meant she had to walk back over to it. Yes I know it would have been nice of me to ask when she was close to it, but I wasn't sure that's what I wanted in the moment and it was less than 30 steps from her. She proceeded to tell me I should have asked for it when she was grabbing my friends items in what I'm assuming was supposed to come off as joking. I said I'm sorry I wasn't sure it was what I wanted, to which she responded by flipping me off. I understand it's a casual atmosphere and it had been a long day. I understand that I've been in a few times, but we aren't friends and don't know each other even remotely well. I find it incredibly rude to flip off a customer even if you're playing and the lack of customer service was disappointing. It honestly ruined the fun of what I bought, and I think I'll be avoiding this place from now on.”
