Elmer Country Store is a neat little old fashioned store and convenience stop located between Vernon, Texas and Altus, Oklahoma. It is known for having some of the best food around. The menu features great burgers described as "THE BOMB," Philly Cheese Steak sandwiches, a renowned Chicken Fried Steak on Thursdays, and Catfish every Friday. The food is repeatedly called perfect and really good. They also offer fresh baked cookies, pies, and sweet treats, including amazing cookies and meringue pies.
