Where to even begin...hmmm... how about with this; I love our Country, our freedom, conservative principles, and businesses/organizations who champion those things. this is perhaps why writing this review is so frustrating. I don't do it often, but when I do take the time to write such a review, you can rest assured that it is well warranted. My experience with this bank has been horrible. that experience began soon after I opened my account and discovered while on vacation that someone had gained access to my money and processed a transfer of funds. It was resolved but not before becoming a headache. However, it's my most recent experiences that have really evoked this review. Like many of you, I have kids, they get small amounts of money in the form of checks, from family members every Christmas, birthday, and on other yearly occasion. This past December, I attempted to do a remote deposit of those checks which all included my name alongside my child's name with the tiny little word "or" separating the names. My first attempt was rejected and I was informed that I needed to write a phrase on the back of the check conveying that it was for Mobil deposit only through Old Glory Bank. Yea, it was literally a sentence that needed to be written. I did so and was met again with rejection. I called the bank to find out why the $15, $20, and $25 checks were being rejected. The response from customer service was nice and unhelpful which resulted in me asking to speak to a manage. After another 15 minutes of wasted time I finally was given a clear answer... we are sorry Mr.-------- we cannot deposit the checks unless you add your children to your account. "Ummm... you're telling me to deposit these checks and get my minor children their money, I need to add them to my bank account... ummm no". I then offered a calm but very direct opinion in the form of suggesting that before having their customers write sentences on the back of checks declaring that it is only to be mobile deposited to Old Glory Bank, perhaps they should make clear that they do not recognize the small word "or". I was given an apology, told by the individual that they totally understand my frustration, and then told that my feed would be taken seriously and passed on to their team. A few days later my account was closed with no phone call, no email, no explanation... just an indicator on my account that it was closed due to fraud. When I called, I was asked to give an explanation for questionable checks (mind you, these checks totaled less than $100 and were already rejected TWICE!) I chose to give the person the explanation and then let them know exactly how I felt about the entire process. I was assured that this is not what they expect from their customer service and it would be looked into. ABSOLUTELY HORRID EXPERIENCE AND SERVICE! *Free advice to Old Glory... wrapping your bank with the garment of a patriotic name does not give you the freedom to engage in incompetent business practices!*

So glad to be a founding member of this bank! Protecting freedoms in this country should be a priority, including with our own money. This bank does just that!

Sham, scam, misrepresentation or blatant fraud? As a veteran and as someone who believes in the greatness of America and the fundamental "old school" values embedded in our Constitutional Republic, I was thrilled to see the expressed philosophy and mission statement of a local bank established with those principles in mind. As a CPA and former corporate CFO I was enthusiastic about the potential to be a part of supporting an organization that claimed to hold values and principles similar to my own and led by individuals known in conservative and principled circles within business and government. My goal was simple .... support this local bank with the principles and patriotic name in a small, but hopefully meaning, way while sending a message that none of us need be bound by the intrusive constraints and overly-burdensome bureaucracies of bigger banks who are more interested in catering to the political and business whims of the "elites" and who simply scorn middle America and its values. BOY. HAVE I BEEN DISAPPOINTED IN WHAT I'VE SEEN THUS FAR! After providing the information necessary to open a simple deposit and savings account, I received an email 2 days later which read only "Thank you for applying for a deposit account with Old Glory Bank. We regret to inform you that we found it necessary to decline your application for a new account." My initial reaction was surprise .... so I called Old Glory Bank to question the generic, uninformative response and to identify the reason for it. After a long hold, I was told by a "customer service representative" that they have received "a number of calls like (mine)" but that all she could do is request that someone contact me. When I requested contact information for someone in either bank operations or management, I was told that they do not accept inbound calls and, of course not surprisingly, she was unable to see herself the reason behind the email I had received. I'm waiting for a return call or even an email but I'm not holding my breath. As a former financial auditor I am seeing red flags flying wildly on the flagpole of "Old Glory Bank" and am sensing fraud at worst and gross misrepresentation at best on the part of the directors and management team of this seeming "bank for middle America". Sham, scam, misrepresentation or blatant fraud .... I don't know which it is but no matter it may be, it's not at all what they represent it to be.

I'm a founding member and have had a great experience! I live in MN but drove past the physical bank and took some pictures. Love that well-known conservatives got together to form something like this.

The process to open my accounts online was very easy. The app is excellent and makes it very easy to view my accounts or transfer money internally or from my other bank. I was also able to setup various alerts so I know when transactions occur. I highly recommend OGB.

After eagerly awaiting for my chance to enroll with Old Glory Bank (I signed up for notification as soon as I had heard about them and looked into them), I was finally able to sign up. I went through the enrollment process and was given an error message, after which I called the bank's customer service line...and that's where the BS began. I was first told that the error message was due to high volume of people signing up and possibly due to some sort of wrong info I had input and that someone would follow up with me in about a week (nobody followed up or called). I then called back two weeks later and was told the same thing (again, nobody called or followed up with me). So I call back a third time and was told rather bluntly, and rudely, that my account had been flagged as fraudulent (even though I was the one that created it) and that there was nothing that could be done...as the "customer service" rep put it "we can't help you here". He didn't offer any explanation or alternative course of action or anything. The guy quickly got off the phone with me after that. I called back, went through the same automated process and GOT THE SAME GUY AGAIN, and after he realized it was me, he literally hung up on me! So I called back a third time, this was all in the course of about 30 minutes and got someone else, I asked for a supervisor who gave me a scripted answer of "we'll look into it" and that I'd be receiving an explanation in the mail which, surprise!...I never got). I have never before, nor since, had anything even remotely close to such a HORRIBLE and UNPROFESSIONAL experience with a financial institution before. I've signed up with Pentagon FCU and a local bank since this occurred and had absolutely no problem whatsoever. ABSOLUTELY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this bank to anyone!

I haven't been into the brick and mortar location but I opened a personal account online in 6 minutes and every time I have called, their customer service answered fast and helped me solve my issues. I'm blown away with how easy they made the process of online banking. I also like their idea of 'We stand with you, no matter where you stand.' Banks shouldn't be able to cancel legit businesses just because they don't like a persons/company's politics. That's the most Un-American thing I've ever heard of. Thanks Old Glory for being a breath of fresh air.

Old Glory Bank is by far the best bank so far that I've ever banked at! Nice, respectful customer service, & the tellers are friendly too! I feel welcomed every time I call them I've haven't had a bad experience yet (& I'm hoping I don't have one either lol). I like banking online with Old Glory Bank due to it being very convenient, & fast! Old Glory Bank has a middle America Midwest all American traditional patriotic feel to it & I love it for that too!!
