Don't purchase a home through cdsa. They make the home look good but once you're in there you find MULTIPLE things wrong with it. Cheaply fixed for an expensive home.

I just to acknowledge Rachel who works for CDSA. She is always in a good mood, dresses appropriately and business style, very helpful, kind, good spirited, a beacon of light, i love seeing her she always puts a smile on my face whenever i see her.I believe she needs a raise for all her hard work and dedication. i believe when you have someone who has good work ethic they need to acknowledged and make them feel appreciated. I want to thank you for hiring her and giving her the privilege to work for you. I pray you keep that good spirited soul on your team and given a raise for all her hard work.God bless you.

Although I enjoyed my job at the CDSA, I was fired because I needed to be home with my daughter because her daycare closed on a snow day. It is very sad to me that a non-profit organization that pledges to help families would be so quick to fire someone who need to be there for their 2 year old daughter. This has put myself and my family at great stress. Because I was new to the job I didn’t have a lot of sick days or vacation days built up and what I did have I used to take care of my daughter when she was sick because my partner and I would take turns. The reason for my firing was that I had to take unapproved UNPAID leave. This wasn’t an instance of me asking to get paid even though I offered to do as much as i could remotely to help out. This wasn’t going to affect the company at all. I always stayed caught up on my work and was learning the job very quickly and eager to take on new task. My boss got his feelings hurt because I said out of emotion, “You guys can be so dense to think I can plan for my child’s daycare to close on a snow day.” Where he responded, “Turn in your keys.” I attempted to reach out and ask to sit down and explain the situation where the director said no because the person who had fired me already did. This is an example of a one sided story. My bosses management style was aggressive and if you made any mistakes he would try to make you feel stupid. Then if he made a mistake he would blame it on something or someone else. This all stems from a boss who still things he is in the Army and treats he subordinates as such. There was very little understanding and the director just lets him do whatever he wants.

Ellen worked with me and for me with CCP and then with CDSA's housing to get me rental assistance. CCP ended up paying, but it was all because of the help that Elen gave me.

My experience with CDSA was like a ray of sunshine in a consuming darkness. I know that sounds a little heavy handed but trust me it's true. The professional attitude, respect and demeanor of Rachel Schmidt made me feel at ease immediately. She not only relieved my apprehension she made me feel comfortable in an uncomfortable situation. On top of that she was ACTUALLY able to help me. My experience with CDSA was helpful, enlightening and will not be forgotten any time soon. Thank You CDSA. I appreciate the help.

The front desk person, Ellen has been rude like that since I met her 2 years ago. She's clearlu working in the wrong field. She should definitely not be the face of an agency that has a mission of helping people.
