Had a clutch pack replaced for 500 after they were sure it was the problem. Still don’t go to 3rd. They just took it for a test drive and couldn’t help me out. I’ll take my loss. Friendly people though.Service: Transmission

Wonderful service. Didn't try to sell us a replacement when all we needed was a new filter. Kept us involved, Checked with us before spending money. Personable staff. Third generation. Highly recommend

The ppl are courteous, even offer a ride if you are dropping off your car. But they are busy busy and they are high dollar. Want $3,500 to rebuild a transmission, won't let you use parts that you purchased from parts store, But it may also be that they don't want the hassle of getting a vehicle in the shop in the customer wasn't mechanic savvy and ordered the parts to the wrong make and model so it might save them a headache and time...they seem to really know their stuff...just really pricey is all...so if you make the big bucks and can shell out that kind of cash by all means I do recommend going here. Just make sure and schedule ahead of time to secure a spot.

I've owned my '77 GMC 3/4 ton for 20 years. It has always had minor transmission issues. It finally went out. I took it to Mack's on advice from another excellent repair service. When I got my 'old' truck back, it drove like a new one; smoother and more responsive than any time since I first got it. Very forthcoming with information on the failure and there is no way I could complain about the cost. I will recommend them to anyone.Service: Transmission repair

The tech spilled transmission fluid on my engine..took it to the car wash and washed the motor. In the process the tech got the cars electrical fan module wet, and caused it to quit working! So 434 dollars to fix a speed sensor..(the original problem) then they break more things to take it to another mechanic and cost me 390 to fix the problem Mack's caused!!! Would never recommend EVER!. Just to be told the part breaking is not their problem!!!Services: Transmission

Not only did they find the problem with my truck right away, they didn't even charge me for the diagnosis! Turned out to be an easy fix, and they were 100% honest about it. Side note, the awesome lady (her name escapes me now) that works there even gave me a ride home in order to leave my truck for them! 10 out of 10

We were told by Jackson's that our transmission was shot. $5600 to get a new one. Took it to Mack's. It was a small sensor. $150.
