Horrible service. One star is to much of rating for them. Rude representative in the store. Wanted to argue with me. When I told her all I had was the information that was sent to me showing approval for ACP. The representative that came to install the Internet and cable was ok. When I asked if he had something to block the hole that he had put in my wall to install cables. He said yes. When asked again if he can fill up the hole. He left without filling it in. Found mouse leaving through the hole. The cable sucks. I paying for channels I can't even watch. I rather pay more for cable and Internet through at&t and direct TV. I will be cancelling my Internet and cable.

Internet kept going down then they sent someone out finally he said he fixed it... it worked for maybe 30 mins then went down again. I tried to call someone and ended up being told the usual unplug it and plug it back in. Don't even bother asking for the local number apparently that doesn't exist.

Customer service was poor and when I went to cancel the service, they sent me to retention where the agent made a counter offer of $40 a month for twelve months. I agreed and they sent a service repair order. Six months later I have a shut off for non pay. I talked to a customer service in India who said the $40 arrangement was for only two months.So cancelled the service and told them I was not going to pay anymore. No morel

The worst instore customer service ever!! I went into the store to inquire about why my internet bill has gone up by $20? There was a special offer I had that was no longer available. Instead of working with me on how I can lower my bill. The lady helping me gave me a phone number to call instead. Saying she couldn't do anything further. I've been a customer of theirs for two years now. Oh and the phone number she gave me wasn't a customer service phone number it was to make a hotel reservation.

Internet goes out over 10 times a day, affecting my entire household and my work. Multiple times they have missed the 4 hour window they were supposed to be here. Online chat customer service is complete trash, they send you copy/paste messages and don't actually remedy any problem. They throttle your speeds and bandwidth to make you think you need to contact them, but when you do finally contact them, you feel like you're being scammed and belittled by them not showing up and the problem persisting, and then also getting charged 60 dollars even though no one showed up.When you DO finally get a tech to show up to your door, they "fix" the problem for one day, and it returns to going out 10+ times a day with half the speed you pay for.I will be one of the many people getting as far away as I can from this trash company, and I will be one of the many people signing into illegality internet providers throttling connections.TL;DR: This company never fixes any problems, and they have many. Customer service is a joke, speeds are never half of what you pay for, and you cannot trust a single thing they say or do.

For the past year I thought my TV was in the verge of breaking. It would disconnect from the Internet every time you turned it on. Once reconnected it would continue to disconnect after 45-60 minutes. We just had Blue peak installed and it has not happened once! Plus we were paying for 1 gig and it was showing up as 54 Mbps! The rates continued to increase without any compensation towards us...we never received more channels or better Internet. Needless to say we are done.

After over a year and several service calls I elected to switch service to Bluepeak. My biggest complaint when called customer service seem I always got an agent you couldn’t understand. I had to reset modem every day to get internet even after replacing modem several times. Then after deciding to change service we turned in equipment I was informed that billing cycle was from 1st to the 31st turned in equipment on 6th therefore I would be billed for the whole month of October. After talking to several agents from optimum there response was “ sorry sir that’s gust the way it is” Poor service is one thing but I consider that stealing from me!,! No optimum “ I’m done with you “ and that’s how it really is” !!

Internet is good when it works, it will randomly go out for periods throughout the day (it wont interrupt gaming but wont let you start new connections). Additionally, our internet went out for two weeks (because thats how long it took them to send someone out). Cancelling is also a pain.

I'm paying for 1gig. Have been for a few months. On the first month, I was averaging 600 mbs, 2nd month I was getting 300mbs, 3rd month, and still currently, im getting 200 mbs. IM STILL PAYING FOR 1 GIG!?! Gimme what I payed for. Not bribe me with $100 to stay a customer, cause they owe me a lot more. When I went online to ask them about why I'm not getting what I payed for, they left me on read for 1.5 hours. I called the store and they told me to go online. Their customer satisfaction is a flat out lie. Until they give me what I pay for, I'll be switching internet company's when they finish with the fiber optic.

I would not choose Optimum again, especially with other choices available.We moved out of state and ended our Optimum service, then received a bill for $100 for not returning a modem. However, we never had an Optimum modem, we ALWAYS have used our own equipment. This is documented by the fact that we've never been charged a monthly rental fee.Spent an hour on the phone and was told "visit a store," which is not an option because it's 9 hours away. Will continue to fight this, but it is ridiculous that I have to.Avoid Optimum at all costs!!Update: Optimum responded to my Google review and quickly remedied the problem. Not sure why it took this to fix the problem, however, I upgraded my rating to 2 stars.

Worst customer service EVER! Multiple departments saying We can't report an outage. No way for customers to report outages on the website! Customer service representative was rude. He refused to do what I asked until I repeatedly asked for his supervisor. He kept saying uhhh no worries, uhh in a minute, in a minute.... I asked his name, he told me Francisco, I asked his ID # he said haha 123. I never did get to a supervisor.
