I brought my car to Town Square Auto because it was stalling on me. After replacing the alternator the stalling stopped, but my car started shaking. I took it back, and after a quick look they told me my transmission was failing! They offered to sell me a used transmission with 86K miles for $5,500.
I went to get a second opinion. During their diagnosis they found a main wire had been cut during the install, which fried the new alternator causing it to shake and throw a transmission code.
I went back to Town Square Auto with a photo of the cut wire and asked if they could make it right with me on the labor cost since I was having to pay another shop to fix their work. I was told the guy who worked on my car was fired that morning. Another guy who didn’t even work on my car called me a liar and said no way it left the shop like that and refused to give any refund. They did offer to fix it, but based on my experience, I didn’t trust the shop to do it right.
Once the wiring was repaired and another alternator installed the shaking stopped and the transmission code went away. I may be out double on labor, but at least I didn’t get SCAMMED into paying for a transmission I didn’t need!

This is the place to go to in Enid Ok if you are having car issues! The owners and technicians are very knowledgeable and will help you understand what is wrong with your car, rather than just telling you a price. During my research, I found their prices to be a lot less compared to other shops in the area. They will diagnose why your engine light is on for free, while most charge over $125. I highly suggest bringing you vehicle here!

Our family has been going to Town Square Auto since Steve opened it in Enid which has been according to my dad “a really long time, but couldn’t come up with how long!” I remember taking my car to him over 30 years ago for the first time. You will NEVER find a more honest mechanic who also knows how to fix everything! As a matter of fact, now that I think about it, my grandson, who is 23, takes his car to Chet and Steve!

I have taken my vehicles to Town Square Auto for 20 plus years. Steve, and now Chet, are extremely knowledgeable and trustworthy. 5-Star workmanship is the norm for this business, and I highly recommend them for your auto repair needs. One would be hard pressed to find another auto repair business that equals Town Square Auto. Steve and Chet will do their best to keep repair costs down as much as possible and only do what is required to get your vehicle back on the road.
