Raymond Gary State Park is a clean and well-maintained hidden gem with great scenery and beautiful views of the water. It is a good place for fishing, swimming, and boating. Visitors can enjoy camping, with electricity at some tent sites, or rent cabins with air conditioning. The park is easy to move around in and offers picnic areas close to the water with tables and BBQ grills, plus a large covered pavilion. There is a playground in good condition with swings, see-saws, and a slide. The park rangers are friendly and accommodating. Restrooms are clean and easy to get to. It is a dog-friendly and fantastic place to relax, enjoy nature, and have a picnic with the family.
Peaceful, Relaxing and pretty. Nice place for the kiddos to play, rent a cabin, camp and or rent a little boat and stroll around the lake. There are also ducks to feed.
March 2026
The only negative was the mattresses in our cabin. They were very lumpy, bumpy and uncomfortable. I could feel every spring on my back. Besides that the lake, cabin, people and fishing were fantastic.
