“I don’t always buy whiskey in a small town.
But when I do, I go to Church Avenue Spirits.
Because this isn’t just a liquor store. It’s a sanctuary for the curious, the connoisseur, and the “I just need one thing… oh look at that” crowd.
You want airplane bottles? They’ve got them, lined up like tiny promises of good decisions postponed.
Jello shots? Yes, and they understand their sacred role in social survival.
Rare liquors and whiskeys you’ve probably never heard of, and possibly weren’t emotionally prepared to meet? Absolutely. This is the place where bottles whisper, “You’re ready for me now.”
The beer cave alone deserves its own zip code. An incredible selection of domestic and imported beers, cold enough to make you briefly consider poetry. Whether you’re loyal to an old favorite or feeling adventurous, this place respects both paths.
And then there’s the vibe.
Cool, laid-back owner who actually knows his stuff and doesn’t make you feel like you need a certification to ask a question. Friendly staff who treat you like a regular even if it’s been a while. No pressure, no attitude, just good people and great options.
I don’t always recommend liquor stores.
But when I do, it’s Church Avenue Spirits.
Stay thirsty, my friends. 🥃”
“Friendly owner...nice clean place...well stocked...has all the liquor I like. Prices are very reasonable. Cigars are for sale right next-door makes it convenient.”
“This is a small wine and liquor store that’s BIG on customer service and friendliness. They also have an excellent selection of bourbon. You can spend time at the other places chasing around hard-to-find bottles, OR – just go visit Thunder Wine and Liquor! Honestly, they are about 15 minutes farther away from me than the closest liquor store that I normally visit. However, I’ll gladly go a little out of my way when I know they’ll treat me like a friend and sell me the hard-to-find stuff. See picture for what I picked up on my last stop-in…..minus the books (I use those because I'm still learning!).”
“Driving into this place I thought it was closed permanently but it's not. The exterior is somewhat unkept leading to initial assessment. Inside was no different but I didn't come for the ambiance after all. Surprisingly they had my brand of rye whiskey and at a fair price. What more could I ask for ..”
“Great local spot for wine and spirits! Harrah Road Wine and Spirits has a solid selection whether you’re grabbing something for a quick weeknight or hunting for something special. The staff are friendly and actually helpful when you need a recommendation. Clean, well-organized store and easy in-and-out. Glad to have a reliable spot in the area — highly recommend.”
