Best hiking place only 3 hours away from Fort Worth, T.X., There’s tons of trails, rock climbing, bouldering, running, biking. When done for the day Medicine park is just around the corner, you can grab a burger at the lakeside cafe or ice cream at the creamery and check out the shops for local gifts!Restrooms: Restrooms throughout the refuge.Picnic area: Places where you can sit and eat.

This place has been therapeutic. Always great scenery. Love the wildlife here. Will always want to come back. The trails are nice. Its a great place to just get lost on a trail to find yourself and enjoy the surroundings. We went on Charons Garden trail and loved every inch of it.

It was wonderful! We visited on a camping road trip and of all the places we visited this was our favorite! The hiking trails are great and the wildlife viewing is incredible. We are planning our next trip back and I can't wait!

Such an amazing place to hike! They need to work on trail maps as where I hiked it was missing. Also, make sure to park only where designates. Rangers seem to like to collect $ from visitors when parking is so limited.

Beautiful place with outstanding wildlife that can be seen just from sitting in your car. Elk, bison, prairie dogs, longhorns (not as special but still), whitetail deer, etc., can all be seen just driving around the refuge. Mount Scott is perfect for sunrises and sunsets.

If you're looking for just a quick day trip to escape and get in nature this place is perfect. There's lots of hiking trails, a lake, wild buffalo and long horns and a cute little town, medicine park, to fill your day with. I would recommend picking a cooler day though as there's not a lot of shade or tree coverage, bring lots of water too.Playground: You'll have to go into medicine park or lawton for a playgroundRestrooms: You'll have to go into medicine park or lawton for bathroomsDog-friendliness: Definitely dog friendly! My friend brought her dog and she had a blast. We didn't have to worry about stickers/goat heads too much and she got to go for a nice little swim halfway through the hike.Picnic area: You'll have to go into medicine park or lawton for bathrooms

We attended treasure lake Job Corps here in the '90s and came back for a visit. We are very saddened that they are tearing the job corps facility down but it is an amazingly beautiful place to visit anyway.

Absolutely AMAZING! So beautiful and quiet. We did a lot of hiking and saw plenty of buffalo. It's one particular one that hangs out at the Holy City and is a great spot for getting up close photos. Very serene and pretty. The plains, the prairie dogs, the business center etc were all fantastic. I went for my b'day. I've always wanted to see the buffalo in their natural habitat. We even hiked up a mountain and walked up on a full grown buffalo in the woods! What fun but extremely scary. The views are like anything I've ever saw. We drove up the mountain and it had the best views of Oklahoma. Will definitely return. Not to mention it's free. Beautiful park and friendly people in the visitor center. Only suggestion is to give out a real map of the park, not just hiking and camping locations. Hands down best trip ever. You won't regret it!!
