Not the cleanest of shelters, but friendly staff. The hubs and I adore our newest family member. Although, we're quite disappointed with the transparency. I had asked about my puppies medical history and was told a few different stories. I had asked for the reasoning of having another dog at home. Unfortunately, my puppy had kennel cough, meanwhile I was told it was already "treated." I'm grateful for the opportunity to help my puppy get the care he deserves, we wouldn't have changed our minds on adopting. I just expected honesty as well as courtesy to prevent spreading misinformation/illnesses. Sad to transition him from a kennel, back into isolation until he's no longer contagious.

Went to look at a dog from a post. We were not a good fit. They have many nice dogs and cats. If your looking please go there and check with them.

The animal welfare officer asked me "are you SURE this isn't your dog" when she came to pickup a stray. Extremely rude to insinuate that I was dumping a dog to the pound.

Took over 1.5 hours to get an animal control officer to arrive to help a dog that had been hit in the street within city limits. This occurred at 8am on a Wednesday, and no one was on call. Officer had to be woken up and called in to work from home. Unprofessional and emotionless.

I showed up to see if they had picked my cat up and the place was really clean and the kennels were really cleanfood and water in each one! Unfortunately they didn't have my cat!

This place needs to have people who answer questions know what they are talking about. Volunteers out not. Old Woman at front counter is a hag. No really imagine they have had your pet for three days and then act like you are the criminal.

The staff are wonderful, the facility however this is a cramped and sad little facility. They need donations desperately. Towels, food, treats.

I feel so sad for the animals. They need a new home asap ... or as I understand it ... they will be euthanized. We enjoy going and petting the animals. I already have four, so I don't have room for more.

All of the staff is kind and helpful. They are really understaffed there, so it was great to see volunteers walking the dogs. Definitely be patient with the staff and take that into consideration! They are very kind and patient if you are understanding. I would recommend doing any extra paper work after adopting in person and keeping a copy of whatever documents you agree to.I adopted a puppy and he had kennel cough. I am sure any dog you get from here will probably be a little sick... Think about it, they are in a kennel where they do everything. So, adopt your new animal, take it to the vet, and hope for the best!My sweet pup will hopefully make a quick recovery and live a great life.Thank you for doing all you can LAW

They lied and gave me a dog with hook worms, got all my animals sick. All they said was if you don’t want him, you can surrender him, but they won’t pay for his care and didnt tell me he was sick. They immediately knew it was hookworm so I assume they have an outbreak and aren’t telling anyone.

STOP PUTTING PITTBULLS AS OTHER BREEDS! IT DOESNT HELP ANYONE. My friend was just evicted because a "lab pointer" she adopted from you was a pittbull. You listed the dog as a lab pointer mix on the website and assured her that's what it was. NOW SHE IS BEING EVICTED BECAUSE THEY DID A BLOOD TEST ON THE DOG AND IT WAS 10% LAB, 70% STAFFORDSHIRE TERRIER, AND 20% OTHER. You're not helping the breed by tricking people. Put your dogs as possible pittbulls or other banned breeds before you get even more people evicted! This is absolutely disgusting. You guys gonna let her stay at the shelter? Cause now you have a homeless woman and a homeless dog as well as her homeless children. Smh. Disgusting. Stop trying to trick people. Just stop.
