My mother lived at Montevista for over 3 years. She loved it there and was very happy. I was extremely happy with the care she received while she was there and am so thankful that she was happy and not alone when she passed on. Thank you Montevista, and in particular Amanda Singer for the wonderful and loving care that you gave my mother. She loved you.

Our 85 yr old mother was in skilled nursing with a very serious fracture. She was prescribed pain meds and even though she was moved to the center in early afternoon we were told that night that she could have her pain meds until after noon the next day!!!! Apparently prior shift had not requested her meds and it wasn't night shifts problem!!!! We asked to speak to someone in charge and the Nurse insisted she was the one and the only one. We call the local hospital and said we should ask to speak with the Nursing Director on Call. So we did. She took care of everything. Needless to say she was not happy with the service we had been provided!!! Two nights later at 11pm we received a phone call that our mother had fallen out of bed!!! This is after we had requested bed rails be put on her bed and the nurse said the Physical Therapist would have to approve! Which she did not! So when they called us we requested the ambulance be called and mom be taken to the hospital!!! On the way out she heard one of the nurses tell another: Prepare yourselves cause her family isn't like most, they won't just let this go!!!!! So, use this review for what you want but our Mom won't be returning to Monta Vista!!!!

My sister was dropped off by the hospital and monte vista staff wheeled her into her room and left her for an hour. They didn't tell her anything didn't put her into bed nothing. Finally after we called and told someone they said they were doing shift change. The nurse came and told my sister you just got here Shelly told her no I've been here an hour. The nurse didn't like that was rude afterwards.

This is my 2nd stay for rehab. I refuse to come back for another stay, and I'm planning on having at least one more surgery. While the rehab department is outstanding, the food is awful and always cold. They rarely follow my meal selections. And the staff doctors keep changing or omitting the basic meds I need daily. I have to be careful about drinking all the water in my glass because I might have to wait 1or 2 hours for someone to give me more.

Seem like they have a great plan of service set up for Pat. Surprisingly NO WIFI for clients nor guests.

My husband was there for rehab to improve his stability while walking and build his strength. He was a fall risk. I feel the physical therapist was very helpful. The staff did not check on him much, assist with showers, or keep the room he was in clean.

The OT and PT is good. The food is awful and cold. I never got a hot meal, it was always cold. Not enough CNAs to help with patient care and often was forgotten about. Too many patients for one CNA. Nursing staff was always friendly to me. Would not want to come back here for long term care.

Rita at front desk was so awsome and helpfull. I didnt understand how to check in i was so glade she was there to help and answer my questions.. There were several people asking her questions she answered them all. Was so thankgull she was there . I was recently visiting another home and was unable to find anyone at thr door or even at nurses station. Needles to say im so glade you have someone answering phone and greeting people so pleasantly. For alot of family's your facility will be the last place thete loved one is. Thank you for being understanding.

My mother has been there for a week. She's diabetic, unable to ambulate and has other medical issues. They've been feeding her tuna fish sandwiches with cookies for dinner! Had not had a vegetable or a piece of fresh fruit since she's been there. Last night they gave her a piece of toast with two slices of tomato. For dinner! They take her to brush her teeth and wash her face and gave her a paper towel to dry her face. No wash cloth or towel! She is made to wait for hours in a soiled diaper.! She got stuck between the bed rail and the mattress for hours Yelled for help unable to reach the call bell because the tech forgot to tie it to her bed rail. The cost for this place is 4500 a month! They need their license suspended! Can't wait to move my mother elsewhere!

This place was chosen for a family member. This place has several bad apples for nurses. There are about a handful of great nurses. We found that having a family present seems to make a strong difference on how your loved is treated. And if needed complain to director. My advice to others is mark everything with the patients name boldly. Take pictures of everything supplied for your loved one. It makes retrieving the items so much easier. If at all possible. And make sure you check in on the loved one daily.

Montevista is a 5 star facility with caring, compassionate veteran nursing staff! The physical therapy team has a proven track record to help your loved ones reach measures beyond belief. Between the business office, MDS, medical records, admissions, activities, social worker, and the administrator a collaborative effort is provided to assure Montevista operates at the highest level. Housekeeping, maintenance, laundry, and dietary provides service at an elite level! I choose Montevista hands down.

When my mom first became a resident at Monta Vista things were pretty decent. The staff was great, the activity director was great and always seemed to have something going on for the residents as well as residents & family around the holidays. But as of the last couple of years (even pre-covid) things have gone down hill. A lot of the nurses are extremely rude and disrespectful. They ignore residents and family members, sit around gossiping and talking trash about a range of things, yelling, cussing, etc. Now notice I said a lot NOT ALL. There are the few good ones. Although the good ones don't seem to last long, they always seem to quit or move to a different job eventually. When calling up to the facility to talk to the administrator he always seems to be out of the building or off. Leaving voicemails doesn't do any good because I have yet to get a call back from any messages I have left. Gosh forbid you need to call up to talk to a nurse or find anything out after 5 because you will get left on hold forever and are lucky if anyone even picks the phone back up. Items in residents rooms mysteriously go missing. I truly hope this place eventually gets back to what it used to be but for now I am researching other options.

Our family member was left in urine soaked linens, couldn’t get their call light answered, or help to the bathroom, resulting in one fall after another. Hate to give this place the one star !
