The store is nice, but in my opinion, it needs new management. The manager is rude and not management material. Customers should be greeted and be made to feel welcome. This is the opposite of what happens at this location. The other day, I took my son up to this store. He is 23 years old and lives with mental health issues (schizophrenia). He went to grab a few things (pancake syrup and pop-tarts), and I slipped up to the register to grab the wife's smokes. Did he need these things? No, they just made him feel normal for buying them. The cashier proceeded to make fun of the strange man, as she called him, not knowing I was his dad. I told her kindly that perhaps he had a mental illness. She proceeded to talk about his coat and why his hands were in his pockets. Another employee before this one was so high all the time she would often fall asleep smoking in front of the store. This could be a great location, but apparently, Doller General Corp doesn't seem to care about the quality of the employees they hire at this location. Let's just say this location needs some attention before it is brought to it in a legal manner. Sadly, DG Corp doesn't appear to read or respond to these reviews. If you're reading this, know the location is nice enough, but the service is questionable at best. Also, it may not be the best environment for anyone with any form of mental or physical disabilities. You never know when the cashier might be making fun of you with another customer. Some people just suck.

I shop at Dollar General quite frequently, but I must say the service I received at this location was uncalled for. I was on the sugar aisle, and the lady stocking on the sugar/baking aisle was beyond rude. I put my merchandise in my cart and as I went to leave the aisle, she was blocking it and actually said "you can go the other way", meaning the other end of the aisle. I had already planned on going that way, but to say that and so rudely just blew me away. I think she possibly thought I wouldn't hear her say it, but I absolutely did! The 2 stars instead of 1 was because of Brittany at the front. She was so kind and helpful, and exhibited excellent customer service, something the one lady could absolutely learn from.

After waiting at the first register, gazing through the open door behind it, the employee just stayed in the room, out of sight, making audible small talk. This forced me to do her job for her. She still had to come out to check my ID because I was buying beer. Pretty disappointed with my experience at this virus of a store.
