Darnell was extremely helpful during my visit yesterday . Even though I was in a rush and probably not the most patient customer, he stayed calm, patient, and professional the entire time. He took the time to walk me through everything step by step, was honest about the entire process of getting a new phone with and without trade -in, and made sure I understood my options. He also offered to help with setup if I needed it, which I really appreciated. Very respectful and knowledgeable. Excellent customer service all around.

Misled During Upgrade and Left With the Wrong Phone + Extra Charges
I went in to upgrade my phone with Boost Mobile — specifically for the Motorola G Stylus 2025. My wife and I talked about it multiple times in front of the store manager, Valerie P., even pointing out that the stylus model costs $50 and the base model is only $5.
We made it 100% clear that we were there for the Stylus model. When Valerie walked off to grab the phones, she said “So y’all want the Motorola G 2025,” quietly leaving off the word stylus. Because our entire conversation had been about the stylus model, we didn’t catch the switch — and that’s exactly the tactic.
She activated the phones and rang us up. My wife was charged $83 and change, and mine came to around $80, even though we got the same model. We now know the phone itself was the $5 base model, but at the time, the final price (with activation and taxes) matched what we were expecting to pay for the $50 stylus version — so we had no reason to question it. That’s what makes this so misleading.
Afterward, we asked about the missing stylus. Valerie responded:
> “You didn’t say stylus.”
“It doesn’t matter, we don’t even have those in stock.”
So not only did she misrepresent what we were getting — she never had the stylus models in the first place. This wasn’t just confusion — it felt intentional.
And it didn’t stop there. When we were about to leave, she told us to pick out phone cases and said, “Don’t worry, I got you.” We mentioned ordering them online, but she insisted — making it sound like a freebie or favor. Only when we reviewed the receipt later did we see we had been charged for the cases too — and now she’s refusing to return them, even though she threw away the packaging right after activation (but gave us the phone boxes). That felt deliberate.
Valerie also told us that she’s the one who trains other reps how to handle these sales — which makes the situation even more concerning. This didn’t feel like a mistake. It felt like a trained process.
When my wife calmly asked for contact info for the district manager, Valerie asked her to leave the store. We’ve tried contacting Boost customer service — no help, no escalation, no accountability.
And if you think this was a one-time thing, check Reddit or other reviews. This same scenario shows up repeatedly at Boost stores: ✔️ Vague phrasing
✔️ Model swaps without disclosure
✔️ Hidden accessory charges
✔️ No returns once activated
Boost’s return policy ensures that by the time you realize something went wrong, it’s already too late.
We’re now stuck with phones we didn’t agree to, charged for accessories we didn’t authorize, and left without options. Boost needs to investigate this location — and Valerie P. needs to be held accountable.

I went to this boost mobile place I was told to upgrade you had to pay a 40 dollar fee 30 dollar activation fee tax for the cost of the phone the phone cost me 5 dollars. My receipt wasn't I had to go back two times to get the right receipt. Then when I got the receipt the charges was nothing I was told I was told I be buying a plug for the phone which I was charged 24.99 and 29.99 for the screen protector and 29.99 for the case. They are just like Metro PCS Crooks.

Don't purchase from this franchise. They don't put insurance on your plan when requested.
