Amazing shop. I took it in for a possible transmission issue and it turned out to be a catalytic converter problem. He took care of that for me and it only took one day to get it fixed. Would definitely recommend to anyone and appreciate the price.

Simply outstanding service and customer interaction! Called and talked to Wade on Friday about my transmission issue…honest and shared expertise over the phone! Excellent Service! Wade took my call on Labor Day, to help me set up a time for my daughter to bring her truck in. I’m in Dallas, my daughter in Norman. Wade diagnosed the issue, it wasn’t a transmission problem, so he also helped find a shop to address the issue. I said how much for all of this? “You don’t owe me a thing!” The reviews on Action American Transmission shop are legitimately! Honest and trustworthy! I brought my truck in with an issue that multiple people had failed to diagnose correctly. One shop actually quoted almost $10k to repair the transmission and turbo.
I called Wade and explained the issues I was having. He told me he would love to look at it and really wanted a chance to properly diagnose this issue.
I dropped my truck off at 9:30. By 1:00, Wade had discovered a bad connection on a wiring harness and had it repaired at going. He saved my thousands of dollars.
He also called me the following day just to check on the truck and make sure it was still running properly. It is difficult to find someone to work on your vehicle that you can trust. I HIGHLY recommend bringing your vehicle here for anything you need!

Firstly, I am a Mechanical Engineer and a pretty good DIY mechanic. My Lead frame went out on my 2013 F-150. I knew how much the parts were and I knew what labor was involved. I would have done it myself, but I did not want the mess of dropping the trans pan in my rental garage. So I started calling shops in Norman for quotes. Out of the 4 shops I called, Action Transmission was the only reasonable price. The other three shops wanted three times the amount Action Transmission charged. Wade was quick to respond and provided a transparent estimate. He advised me that there could be metal in the transmission pan indicating other problems. After he pulled the pan he sent me a photo showing a clean pan. I am sure other shops would not have provided that level of transparency and real time communication. He had my truck back to me in less than 24 hours. In addition to that, he is just a nice guy to visit. I spent probably 15 mins in his shop talking about transmissions when I picked my truck up. I will be taking all of my other transmission work to him.

I cannot recommend this place enough! My Subie had issues with the control valve. Wade was so attentive and helpful ~ gave honest and transparent estimates and… he also fixed a small issue with the AC connection at no additional cost. Wade also showed me the part & how things worked. I recommend Action to everyone, especially as a woman!

Wade diagnoses my truck from the first time I described the issue. Replaced the lead frame and valve body in my 6R80 when I lost reverse. This was a week before a trip to Colorado. The next week it ran out to Colorado and drove through the mountain passes perfectly even with hard downshifting. I appreciated Wade's honesty and quick turn around. Only transmission shop I will use.

Wade was super helpful & thorough! I've had 4 mechanics now previous to Wade work on my 04 Chevy crew cab Silverado. He rebuilt my transmission & did some other work I've been needing done. He knows his stuff & is awesome to show me what he actually did to fix my truck & found things that were pretty dangerous to keep driving it that way & got it all replaced for me! He is knowledgeable, fairly priced & such a kind soul! He truly cares about his customers & getting them genuine answers & great repair work always! 👏 Thank you so much Wade!
