To be more specific, it was better than "great". I'm sure this comes to no surprise to the person reading this, but Casey epitomizesprofessionalism. She would be the first person I would contact if I started my own company. She's a 10 out of 10 at every level including but not limited to customer service, sense of urgency, attention to detail, crystal clear communication and respect for the client.

Absolutely wonderful experience!! Will NEVER go anywhere else to get a mortgage. I have been banking with First United for over five years now. I only have good things to say. Customer service has always been great. I've had my identity stolen before and they have always been super helpful in that department.

2012-2015(?) great cust serv. When purch it went WAY DOWN. Now, lots of mistakes and no apologies. I’ve lost $$ from their mistakes. Very unhappy now with First United.

Cheryl was very responsive from the start, via text, voice, email. This was especially important for us out of state and time zone. She went above and beyond any day of the week to ensure we got the best rate and were on track during the process. Highly recommend going with this team at First United!

Wish we would have had cheryl. Apparently they have been having a change of management during the purchase of my sibling, which has taken up to 3 months. Mandy, our worker, is very questionable. My sibling is purchasing a house and First United waited until the last day of closing to ask for certain transcripts that take 5-7 business days to receive, due to IRS issues and an update of policy quite recently. Then they told us there is nothing we can do but wait and get a new closing date. I hope the team is properly held accountable, and also their whole team is uncoordinated and incompetent. Customer service is horrible. I hope they see this and fix the issue, because every time they try to go up their chain of command they give my sibling the run around. Complete joke of a bank and joke of people. I have yet to witness proper communication from this bank.

During the whole process of trying to secure a home loan with First United, it was definitely NOT easy. I told our realtor Debbie Anderson if it wasn't for her I would have given up. The main issue with First United was the LACK of COMMUNICATION. I know there are always going to be hiccups of some sort but when we as first time home buyers had questions and called to leave a voicemail, the bank would just email back an answer, not a phone call. Which to me did not make me feel valued as a customer. Then on the day of CLOSING my partner had to leave during the signing process to get a $1,000 money order because the bank misinformed us on the amount of closing costs. Our realtor took the time to call one of the representatives during closing with us present in the room and instead of them acknowledging the issue, all I heard was them pointing fingers at a specific individual. We closed on May 26th, and still have not recieved ANY email, phone call in regards to the unknown additional $1,000 dollars at closing. The entire process took over 100 days yet there were so many balls being dropped last second from the bank needing certain papers on our first closing date all the way to having to leave during our final closing.
