They were super sweet and super caring with our little Percy. She had an adverse reaction to her vaccine booster so we rushed her to Urgent Care. They got her in fast and looked her over...advised us on a good vaccine schedule for her since she is so tiny. They were so great that I am contimplating just switching both of our animals over to their care.

Great veterinary experience! We were new patients for our 12-year old parakeet. They got us in the same day we contacted them with concerns about our bird and spent a significant time assessing our bird and treating her. The vet seemed very knowledgeable and handled our parakeet well. Treatment was a success because of them! Very pleased and will return.

☠️ **BEWARE!!** ☠️Our blind, autistic grandson has an ESA (Emotional Support Animal) complete with letter of medical necessity, who is a 3 lb. 6 oz. Chihuahua that he’s had for the past 13 years. While I had always paid for veterinary care out of pocket in the past, a situation occurred on November 11th with our youngest son after he experienced a life threatening medical event which completely tapped us out financially helping their beautiful family through! We recently learned that, since our dog is an ESA her care can be paid for with FSA funds which I opted to do this time. I had to find a vet who took FSA cards for payment though so, on December 4th I began calling veterinary clinics in our area in search of one that accepted FSA cards. I had called 3-4 before reaching Main Street Veterinary Hospital. All others said they did not accept FSA cards right out of the gate! Yet, during the call with Main Street Veterinary Hospital, the receptionist asked me if my FSA card was a major debit card to which I answered “it is a Mastercard debit card but it’s a FSA or “Flexible Spending Account” card which is used for medical expenses but does include veterinary bills for a service animal or ESA if they accept it. She said “if it’s a debit card, we take it” … so I made the appointment.Upon arrival, my husband told them he wanted a senior dog check up. They quoted a cost of $340 for the “Senior Well Check” and told him what all it covered. They told him they would like to do X-rays too which was a seperate cost of $200 but, because we only had $500 left in our FSA, he told them to wait on the X-rays for now and he would bring her back in January for X-rays when our FSA card reloads. They said okay.He took her back to the exam room where they tried to include the X-rays again making it necessary to tell the techs that he didn’t want to do the X-rays!They took her into the back to do the exam (blood work, etc.). When they returned they told him what all they had done while back there. Despite my husband refusing the X-rays…twice, they did the X-rays anyway! He, AGAIN, told them he didn’t want those done and wouldn’t be paying for them. The vet said she wanted to send them off to be read anyway as a matter of “complete care” and we could just pay for them in January. We love our dog and agreed. When he went out to the check-out desk to pay our bill they, AGAIN, tried to charge the $200 for the X-rays! This was becoming frustrating considering he had already told them, THREE TIMES, he didn’t want the X-rays in the first place! He finally got them off the immediate bill and they ran our FSA card for the remaining amount. It was declined!!!! NOT for lack of funds…but, as it turns out…MSVH is NOT set up to accept FSA cards after all!!!! They immediately wanted a different form of payment which we obviously don’t have. We attempted to set up a payment plan but they refused declaring they “don’t take payments”! I initiated a 3-way call between MSVH and American Fidelity (FSA card issuer) in an attempt to get them set up to accept FSA cards but the company they use doesn’t process FSA cards so they would have to change their CC Processing company because they can’t add it to their current system. So not my problem! They said they accepted the cards, they do not, they refuse a payment plan, NOT MY PROBLEM!!! Now the MSVH employee is denying that I even asked if they took FSA cards when I made the appointment …and are saying that they are going to turn the debt over to a collection company instead of agreeing to take payments for a situation THEY created!! ? AVOID THIS VETERINARIAN OFFICE AT ALL COSTS!!!!

Only been one time for a neuter appointment, but I will definitely stick around with this vet. I felt well received, and my puppy was treated like a king. All the staff were super friendly, and the vet was friendly as well and very knowledgeable about her business. She answered all my questions and left me feeling like I had a new family! Thank you everyone for your awesomeness!!!

Our exotic bird loss use of his left leg and while this office is not a vet that specializes in birds, they were able to get him in quick and diagnose him via xray which was all we could ask for, he has a tumor on his knee and there’s not much that can be done therefore this worked out perfect for us. They sent us come with medication to help with pain and inflammation and he has been able to get around better, so it makes us happy he is in less pain!

This is related to a friend's recent experience at your clinic. I would say that you should never ever say that a surgery can 100 percent cure an illness. That is never true, or honest. If some one comes in and requests that you euthanize their dog, there should never be a question if it is a reasonable request. Instead you insist on doing a life saving surgery to a critically ill dog, who actually dies overnight in your kennel. This is absolutely not right!! Shame on you!! Then you refuse to give her the dogs remains until she pays $1800 for the surgery and $350 for cremation. You may think you are a great vet, but compassion is not your specialty. I would be embarrassed by your unprofessional behavior, may be rethink your attitude!

If I could give zero stars I would.I got a call from my sister one morning explaining that her Great Dane was experiencing CLEAR AS DAY symptoms of Pyrometra. This was very early in the morning and my sister wasn't even sure if her poor dog would make it another couple of hours. She was heartbroken and scared the dog would pass at home in front of her children in a very unpeaceful way. She reached out to Main St., after she confirmed her regular vet could not take her that day.She went into Main St. with the expectation that she would be able to spend her final moments with her best friend and then let her go *as peacefully as possible*. She went in with the intentions of euthanizing her, based on how sick her dog was and knowing the risks of Pyrometra.Main St. told her that euthanasia was absolutely NOT an option for her dog. They made her feel like a monster for even asking; and told her that they would be able to fix her right up with surgery. When my sister heard that she was able to save her, she agreed wholeheartedly, as any dog-mom would. Main St. emphasized that euthanasia was NOT an option and my sister was forced to quickly shove her dog through the doors and wish her luck from a distance. NOT EVEN A GOODBYE.They called her after she was admitted and told her that they started the pup on IV fluids and antibiotics and she was already taking a turn for the better. She then got another call when the baby was out of surgery and was told that she did great and she would be able to pick her up in the morning! How wonderful! She then had to call and get transferred a number of times the next morning, until the vet finally reached back to her to tell her she passed overnight. Now, my review is not negative because they didn't save the dog. I completely understand that whatever happened, happened.. BUT, their customer service and the way my sister was treated through the whole process was completely and utterly UNACCEPTABLE. To make her feel like a monster for even suggesting to put down her baby - and then promising that this was the ONLY way - to then tell her that 'well, ya know every surgery comes with risks' only after the dog has passed.I even got on the phone with a couple people at the office because I couldn't believe what I was hearing... after speaking with a couple of techs, I knew deep down that this was absolutely a money grab. They completely took advantage of my sister and cost her final precious moments that she could have had with her absolute best friend that she can never get back.Regardless of the total cost, their way of 'compensating' my sister, was offering barely 10% discount off the cost of not only the surgery, but also the total fees for cremation as well.. The discount did not even cover the total cost of the cremation that she originally was seeking...Absolutely ridiculous. I highly recommend that you take your beloved fur babies anywhere else, solely based on the absolute LACK of customer service and overall extreme greediness of this place.Final moments with your pet are absolutely worth any amount of money in the world. I hope you guys truly benefited from the money you received from the torture you put my sister through, and I truly hope that it goes towards much needed training of your staff and better care of animals at your practice.

Wow. I brought my cat in, explained the whole situation, and they just ran expensive tests back to back until I literally couldn't afford to keep coming in. They didn't listen to my concerns or the timeline of the issue. I spent nearly 1k here only to find out my cat just had AN ALLERGY. are you kidding me? I had to go get a second opinion and she's fine now. They kept trying to say she might have cancer or something. Literally said they'd start at the cheapest tests and work the way up until they found the issue. but NEVER checked for allergies despite me saying I switched food and literally asking if it had anything to do with that. They were like "no that most likely isn't it" and even didn't give a diagnoses because of this and I ended up not getting insurance to cover anything because you have to have a diagnoses to cover any costs. Unbelievable. Nobody cared and my cat suffered for a month waiting for my next paycheck to get a second opinion

I really just cannot recommend these guys enough. The doctors are the reason i will never go anywhere else. My family and I have gone to one other vet for the last 20 years, and i just discovered Main St within the last year. So far they've found out what was wrong with 3 of my animals that our old vet couldn't. They saved my little dog's life and gave me peace of mind with my big one. They gave me peace of mind with one of my cats and (would have) saved my other cat's life if she hadn't gotten into some vitamin D. (she had other health issues that they found and solved, then I left out some vitamin d pills and she got into them and it was just too late by the time i realized so totally not their fault obvi.) Dr. birdwell is the best vet i've ever met. he's the dog vet and he treats every patient like his own pet. he explains in great detail what could be going on. gives me options on what to do. and works with my budget. and this place is a little bit pricier than what i've experienced in the past, and i understand why. this place is magic. miracle workers. the nurse with the colored hair was one of the best people i've ever met. she was so sweet and really knowledgeable. i actually thought she was a doctor i hadn't met for the first 15 minutes until she said she was going to get dr birdwell. i actually just can't say enough good things about this place. they love my animals like no other dr ever had. i am so BLESSED and GRATEFUL to have found them! i will recommend them till the day i die. i could write a whole book about them. awesome job drs, nurses, and staff. KEEP IT UP! please don't ever stop treating animals the way you do. ok love u bye

I am a first time customer and I brought my dog to them for shots and check up and they treated him very good. Cody seem to like them and I did too.. So, they will have my repeat business, and I am extremely happy with Main Street Veterinary service. Thanks for the pampering that you gave Cody and I gave you five stars.

This is our not the first time that we have experience excellent care for our animals. The staff has always been very helpful for the needs of our family for care of our many animals. The meds that have been prescribed always seemed to be the best to fit our needs. Thank you Main Street.

Dr. Monismith kept probing to determine the cause of our Goldendoodle's licking her dew claw. It was not the claw but a sticker embedded behind the claw that was the irritant. She persisted until she found the sticker and effectively removed it. Great staff, great care, highly recommend.
