I had high hopes when I scheduled the appointment after reading the reviews. I have 2 South African Mastiffs, my concern is always, if a vet is familiar with the breed, and will LISTEN, when I'm explaining it to them. Boerboels manifest conditions different than any other dog breed, she claimed she was familiar with them, then when asked about sedation, she instantly said ACE, if you've ever treated a Boerboel you should know that ACE kills them quickly. Always used a local city vet in town, got tired of the outrageous pricing every visit. Picked up a stray which I never do and she needed attention. Since I was on a path of doing new things I figured I’d try out the local country vet that I’ve never used.

I have used Dr. Marshall and her mobile veterinary service for the past year and she and her staff are wonderful. I have a few dogs so it was very convenient to have her come out to my house to vaccinate all of them at once and get their yearly heartworm tests. She also was wonderful for my very old pitpull who just wasn't up for traveling or moving well. Eventually he had to be put to sleep and Dr. Marshall came out to the house - it's so hard to have to decide to put your animal down but it was nice that he was not alone and in a familiar environment. I highly recommend Riverbend and Dr Marshall.

Dr. Marshall and her staff did an outstanding job with my pit JD. Sadly we lost him due to kidney failure. When he took a turn for the worst she notified me herself that there was no more they could do for him and that he was suffering, so I authorized him to be put to sleep. They handled that with so much compassion for JD and me. They're good people and they have my eternal gratitude.

We took our Odin to Riverbend yesterday morning. We had an idea that he had parvo. The Dr & another staff member came & did testing on him in our car (so we didn't infect another animal). He tested positive, unfortunately. The staff here is so compassionate & they truly do care about all animals. Unfortunately Odin died in our arms shortly after we left the vet. But the Dr warned us this could happen and his survival rate was very low. When we showed back up to bring our Odin to them, there was woman that came to help us. She felt our pain & she was so sensitive with us & with our Odin. Thank you Riverbend staff for everything you did for us & Odin yesterday. Losing a family member is never easy & you guys are the absolute best. Much love to you all & your staff. Thank you for handling Odin the way you did.

Riverbend Vet came to our home when it was time to have our big, sweet dog put down. They were professional and so very kind. It was an extremely emotional experience and we are so grateful to have such compassionate people there to walk us through.

Do not trust your dogs to this woman or to Riverbend Mobile vet services! I brought my Miki a small toy breed into her and she assured me that my dog would be fine. My dog was bleeding outfit her butt! This woman assured me she would be fine and sent us home but with 5 hours of leaving her clinic my dog passed away. She told me my dog had pancreatitis but that the bleeding was normal and would be just fine! I trusted her after all she is the vet! Well don't trust her with your animal! I talked to 2 others vets who said they would have kept my dog in the hospital on IV fluids and meds that she should have never been sent home! My dog bleed to death because of incompetence! If your in the lexington Purcell area take your pet to Walnut Creek vet hospital in Purcell!
