Amazing Dr.. Saved my babygirl and her not yet born babies..& taught me things. Didn’t know she had worms, I thought she was just pregnant. Thank you so much for treating her. The ladies at the phone were great too. Highly recommend this place.

Our cat, Boomer, had his teeth cleaned, one extracted and Xray of his hip/rear legs. Dr Aaron Cline did an excellent job, the best dental cleaning Boomer's ever had. His explanation was the most thorough ever! He thoroughly explained the hip issue, explaining the xrays and the potential solutions.Tristan then followed up by explaining the meds and potential use of an arthritis drug.We highly recommend them, and they will be our vets for all future visits!!!!

My family has taken our pets here for many years now and we’ve always had amazing care. They genuinely care about our pets. My pug was recently attacked by a German shepherd and she had severe injuries to her face and this vet got her in as soon as I called. Not only did they make sure she was comfortable, they comforted me and kept me updated all day. They sent her home with pain medication and her stitches are well done and look minimal. I was sure she would lose her eye but she’s happy and recovering really well. This is the most affordable vet in the area by far but it is still not cheap for emergency situations and even vaccines if it’s hard for you to drop hundreds at one time. Get pet insurance! I’ve learned my lesson about not having it. Thank you Southwest for saving my baby!

This last June 2023, we switched from Walnut Creek on the recommendation of a colleague due to distance from our house. From May to June 2023, our older dog (9) was completely different. He was off. He started presenting with a distended gut, buldging and bloodshot watery eyes, some incontinence, a weak bark, and went from being an active cattle dog to an old man very quickly. Southwest spent very little time checking him over and stated he had allergies and arthritis. We also had changed his food and thought that might be some of the bloating and allergies. So, we switched back. He didn't improve, so I called Southwest back. They prescribed him allergy meds. He still hadn't improved, so I took him to Walnut Creek last week for a second opinion. We will have to put him down next week. He had a significant mass on his spleen that has metastasized to his heart and lungs. Walnut Creek took their time on the floor with him, feeling his lymph nodes before deciding to Xray. The Xray showed that our dog actually has very little arthritis. The level at which Southwest was invested in ruling out anything serious is negligent. The day we were there, their office was so packed it was hard for people or pets to be in that confined space. It seemed like a mill of packing as many appointments in as possible, spending very little time with hands-on evaluation of the animals, and just simply writing scrips. I do not recommend this vet under any circumstances.

The reason I gave a low rating is because the wait time is an hour wait. And I had my children with me that are impatient keep asking how much longer.

I recommend them to anyone 100 percent. My girl came up sick yesterday (throwing up and bloody stool) no one wanted to get her in so I called southwest which I was hesitant at first because of some hateful reviews (which are absolutely silly). From the start they were extremely nice, understanding, and were gonna put my pet first. They got her in asap and for that alone I was happy with them and gonna make the full switch to them for good. I was even more amazed by them once I stepped into the door. So welcoming, get to you immediately (ofc you may have to wait your turn so dont frown if you have to wait 5 mins) and let you sit in the car with you dog if needed/wanted and will come get you (I personally love this because on leash greeting especially at the vet are not allowed with my dog more so with her being sick), they treated my dog ‘sundae’ exactly how i’d hope to do it myself. They keep you involved, keep your pup happy, and most of all dont rob you. The vet (Caleb) was extremely clear about the things sundae was gonna need and gave me many options PLUS went and got a price (without me asking) and told me and clarified it was 100% okay. Mind you she was a SICK dog…he wasn’t sitting there proscribing me meds and spitting non sense when he very well could’ve and I would’ve bought it. He’s very straightforward, easy to understand, and doesn’t over exaggerate. I didn't have 50 extra charges and me and my dog walked out 100 times happier than we went it. GO TO SOUTHWEST THEY WILL NOT FAIL YOU!!!! Their prices are extremely reasonable. If you cannot afford it here you don't need a pet. This is the only vet i’ll spending money at from now on!!

I had my dog put to sleep today. One of the toughest things anyone has to do. We were put in the waiting room for at least 10 mins. Then escorted to the room where we waited another 40 mins. We chose to use a sedative so our dog wouldn’t feel any pain but this was the opposite effect. She cried for a minute after he stuck her with the needle. Limped around before we could get her relaxed on the floor. What happened today was cruel all the while the doctor tried to make some jokes during one of the worst days my family has to experience.

Friendly enough staff, but the doctor is not! He only cares about money and prescribing medication! It is okay to bring your animals here if you need vaccinations, but if your animal is sick and you are trying to get answers, I do not recommend this Vet!

Nice receptionists and office staff. But how can you trust a vet who doesn't take care of himself enough to be able to fully perform his job duties? He can’t bend down to inspect your dog, he also cant pick them up to put on a table. How do you let yourself go to the point where you can't do your job?!

To start, my wife and I have 3 dogs that we have taken to Southwest Vet for 8 years now. Majority of those years being general checkups and shots. Unfortunately, this year was a different issue as our dogs have gotten older and have started having health issues.Starting at the beginning of 2023 we had to have a surgery performed on 2 of our dogs, one being cyst removal and the other being tumor removal. I cannot complain about the quality of care they received, but the administration issues kept piling up. Keep in mind that we maxed out our CareCredit with these two surgeries. Not only did appointments get lost, but the ones that didn't, the Vet himself was over an hour late due to personal reasons. That wouldn't have been an issue, but they didn't notify me that the vet wasn't even there until 20 minutes after my appointment time.Just last week we needed to have another tumor removed with an estimated cost of $626-$1200+/-. We took our dog in for the surgery and immediately after departing we had a major vehicle issue that required immediate spending our behalf. Needless to say they came in under the estimate at $544, great. But when I went to pay the balance I had $400 cash on me and asked to pay the remaining $144 within the next couple of days. Then starts the big issue, I kept getting referred to a policy that ALL payment is due at the time of checkout...which is fine, but they refused to take any amount of payment at a later date due to the policy. After 8 years of service with 3 dogs you couldn't let $144 slide until the next day or day after?! Then came the condescending talk from the Vet's son where he kept referring to the policy over and over again. He gave me two options, after already waiting for over an hour to pick him up he stated that I could wait for another hour plus.Sorry but in my book the way this was handled was extremely unprofessional. Stay away from the condescending son, clearly he has no business working with the public as he wont even take out his chew to talk to a client. If you see his appearance you will competely understand he is "one of those people"....use whatever term you want, but ugh he's a gross human being.

I called to ask about cremation services for my 1 month puppy who passed overnight just needing guidance and hoped they could recommend who to call on a Saturday. I never got the chance to ask because I was immediately put on hold and after holding for 24 minutes had to hang up. The staff never came back on the line just left me hanging. Very rude and unprofessional.

We brought our 12 year old dog here today to be put to sleep. We have had her since she was born, so you can imagine how hard this was for my husband and I. The staff and Dr were absolutely amazing. They made us feel so at ease and explained the process so well. They gave us all the time we needed to say our goodbyes and treated our baby with love and care. I want to say thank you for taking such great care of our girl, and us.
