The pharmacist Jessica W. at CVS in Target (Penn & Memorial OKC) is absolutely amazing!!! She has ALWAYS been kind, professional and extremely helpful every time I have had to obtain a refill or had questions regarding a RX.

I showed up for my vaccination appointment to get my flu and COVID shot. I was informed that they don't have the COVID vaccine yet. But yet their website let you schedule appointments. Also the pharmacist informed me that CVS does not contract with my insurance carrier Blue Cross and Blue Shield and I would have to pay for the shot. Again.....don't waste people's time and determine eligibility on your useless website.

Drove an hour in heavy traffic from OKC Plaza District for Covid vaccine appointment. Staff refused to give it to me due to my age (1/27/61-63.5). I made the appt two days ago so asked why they did not call to cancel me over the phone as I disclosed my age when I scheduled. They said they do not review the appointment schedule! So this happens to others?? And what about their failure to administer the vaccine on the basis of expired CDC guidelines?? Do NOT trust your health care to CVS!

I'm only able to take a particular manufacturer of a medicine due to having a very sensative body chemistry. I explained this to the pharmacist months ago when there was a nationwide shortage of the medication. She put the brand I needed on my file, and I've gone in every few weeks for months to see if they've received it. Fortunately, the manufacturer released some to another pharmacy and I was able to get it withing a few days of running out. However, I'll be out of the country when my current refill runs out, so I'm still in the queue with this CVS. Yesterday I received a msg that the prescription had been filled. What a relief!!!! I went to pick it up today, and fortunately I looked at the prescription before paying for it and it WAS NOT the manufacturer my body can tolerate. In fact, it's from a company I have had a bad reaction to in the past.
When I refused the med, I told the tech that I can only take XYZ brand, and that was placed on my file. The pharmacist pipped in that XYZ isn't making the medication any longer. First, that's irrelevant. If a patient has a specific brand only listed on their file, there's a reason. Had I not noticed the slight color difference between the brand I can take and the brand they tried to sell me, they would have compromised my health! How unethical and dangerous to swap out a medication without informing the patient (when a specific brand is listed on the patient's account). Second, the pharmacist gave out incorrect information. The manufacturer is indeed still making the medication. I know this because I was able to get it filled elsewhere less than two weeks ago, after it not being available anywhere in the US for at least three months. Perhaps CVS isn't going to be able to carry it again, but that isn't the same as it not being available to patients who can only take that brand. Had I been the type to just trust the professional, I would have been of the mindset that I was just out of luck to take care of my medical needs.

The phone tree is ridiculous! Trying to speak to a real person is a nightmare! Couldn’t find me in the system. Had to give info repeatedly. Will never use again.

The pharmacy staff is unfailingly friendly, skilled, and helpful. I think the place is somewhat understaffed at times, but employers are doing that everywhere. No matter the stress, these people are tops.

The pharmacy has serious staffing issues. Majority of the time I come up there they are single staffed and the poor pharmacist is trying to balance prescriptions and giving shots. I wanted all day for my prescriptions. Now a week later I have issues again. And I asked the pharmacist to please contact to office to resolve the issue at noon as I am in pain recovering from surgery. They said they would not do that. So I called my Dr's office. They resolved the issue. Now my prescription is there and I can't pick it up, because NOW the pharmacist wants to call the office to clarify things. The compassion I am receiving is unacceptable. Management definitely needs to look into the customer service.

I grew up in a small town where everyone knew everyone and, honestly, that is the type of experience I have at this CVS. Jennifer has taken the time to get to know her customers and it shows. When I start approaching the counter, she is already pulling my medications from the bins and starting to enter my information. She is always willing and able to answer my questions as well.Today though I had the experience of working with Jessica via phone and she is exceeded any expectations one might have for a pharmacy. A medication that I must take to stay alive suddenly needed prior authorization because I wanted a different distribution method for an upcoming trip. The generic was approved though but there is concern the generic won't work right for me. While we spoke she looked into cost savings options in case I needed to buy it out-of-pocket, called the insurance company, and even called my doctor's office to discuss options. Ultimately, within hours, Jessica and the doctor's office not only got it approved but filled. She didn't have to take so much time to help me and fight on my behalf but she did, and I cannot thank her enough.

The staff person is very nice. CVS.... hire people!!! This location always has only 1 employee and is always extremely behind schedule and taking crazy long times to full stuff while talking to customers, doing vaccinations and answering the phone. A multi-billion dollar company should do better.
