On May10th I brought in a cabinet door to have the paint color and type matched. I told the salesperson that I wanted oil base and it would be sprayed with an air gun. I also gave him a piece of sheetrock with the wall paint color that I wished to match. I picked up the paint about 4 hours later.
About 10 days later my cabinet guy was ready to paint and we then noticed that the paint was water base. I went back to the store and they charged me for another can of paint claiming that the water base was fine but was not what I ordered.
On May 27th we were finally ready to paint the wall and when I opened up the can it was pure white they had not added the color. So, I had to take another chunk out of the wall and took the can up there and they matched it .
Two cans of paint took 4 trips to the store and one wrong can that I don't need. I am very displeased with the carelessness of the salesperson. I went to this store thinking it would be better than Lowes or Home Depot, but I don't think either one could have messed it up as bad as Sherwin Williams.

This was the first time I have purchased paint from SW. I actually bought the paint online and picked it up in the store. I spoke to Joe, the manager, several times asking questions about different paints and brushes for my new, bare wood kitchen cabinets. He has always been very professional. After picking up my paints, I have been back several times over the next two months to get my paint shaken. All my subsequent visits, the staff have been pleasant to deal with. I really don't have anything negative to say. The store looked clean with plenty of parking outside. I bought a total of 6 gallons but only used 3. I brought 3 back (about 2 months later) and they took them back without hesitation or problems. Of course, the 3 gallons were unopened/used and my paint color was stock white. I would definitely come back if I needed more paint in the future.

The employees here were great and perfectly matched a paint sample from my then-apartment where I had a small spot I needed to cover up before move out. Admittedly I am normally one to go to the cheaper big box home improvement stores, but I wanted to be sure I got this right the first time. Less than $10 and ten minutes later, these guys ensured full return of my security deposit and stellar remarks from my moveout inspection. A+ service!
