My family pays to subscribe to this roadside assistance service. The other night, I was in the country when my tire went flat. It was muddy and I was in a dress, so I thought I would call and use the service since we're paying for it. I called the number and the call was picked up by their answering service. I stated I'd never called before and I had a flat. She told me to look in the book Traveler's had given me and that it would tell me what to do. Confused, I asked her what she meant. She said "Look in the book, it'll tell you step by step what to do." I told her I didn't have a book, and she got even more snotty and said that I had to if I were truly a member - which is not true since I am not the primary member. Because their answering service was literally worthless, I ended up changing the tire myself in the mud, and will be cancelling my membership. If I had been on a more populated road, I have no doubt that a complete stranger would have been more helpful than anyone associated with this service.
