“On October 9, 2025, my tire went flat on Hwy 75 northbound, just north of Celia Berryhill Rd, directly in front of Eakin Farm and Panel.
I called my roadside assistance and was given an 85 minute time frame for St. Michael's Towing out of Tulsa to reach me and take my car to Phillips Truck and Auto on Oklahoma Ave in Okmulgee. Okay. Cool. It sucks, but it's doable.
Then, they said he was coming into Beggs from Tulsa, 20 minutes to me (that's what, 5 miles from my location? Max??). ?
Then, I got frustrated and called USAA back. They called and got told the driver drove past us towards Henryetta, 20 minutes.
While having that conversation, the agent apparently changed it from a tow to a tire change... 77 minutes. ?
At this point, it's now been 2.5 hours. Longer story, shorter, at 12:07, I have up and called a Jack's, no go. Gold's, no go.
Then, I called Randy at R&S Collision. I explained my situation. He told me his driver would be there in 15 minutes. Almost simultaneously, I looked down at a text from roadside assistance saying the wait time had been extended to another 85 minutes!
Randy's driver came out in the promised 15 minutes, got my information, took my key, confirmed where I wanted it to go, and told me to go home and have a great night! Winds up, it was my (step) cousin, Jim Reed!
Thank you, Randy and Jim! Also, thank you to Trooper Vernon and the OCSO Sherriff's Deputy whose name I didn't get. They sat behind us for 2.5 hours and tried like heck to change the tire halfway through the ordeal.”
