I’m giving Hometown a 5 star rating because of how awesome Mike(owner) is. He is very thoughtful and is someone you can truly trust. It’s not only about him though. His employees are very helpful and genuine with making sure you are getting a good deal on parts for your vehicle. So friendly too! Being a woman you normally get mechanic shops trying to just make money, but at Hometown auto repair as a woman you can trust that they are honest and actually trying to help.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I've gone to Michael for my auto car since he came to Owasso. His ethics are impeccable. Hometown is the only place in Owasso for your auto care.

I cannot say enough nice things about this business! I stopped in the other day for questions about some ongoing issues - including a light bulb that burned out. Not only did Michael and his team graciously help me out that day but gave me a quick and fair quote!I really appreciate good, honest mechanics especially when I am alone as a lady getting services done. It’s an old stereotype but sometimes true that people will take advantage of your lack of knowledge about cars. Not these guys! They are the best.I also want to mentioned they were very friendly, polite and communicative which is always a plus. Go see them for your car needs today!Service: General repairs & maintenance

brought my car here probably about a year and a half or so ago for an upstream o2 sensor replacement, today I jacked the car up and got underneath it to do some work of my own on the car. needless to say when I pulled my downpipe off the car, and tried to remove the o2 sensor, I realized that it was not installed exactly "straight" like it should have been. after many attempts and with some help we managed to get the o2 sensor out, only to find out the the threads on the brand new o2 sensor (brand new when I gave them the part to install) and the threads on the downpipe itself were horribly stripped. Things like this is the reason why very rarely do I take my car somewhere to be worked on. No it wasn't the most horrible fix in the world, but the lack of integrity to do the right thing is the kicker. If the threads were already stripped or messed up when I brought it in, why would you not tell me upfront? Was someone in a rush and not paying attention? I find it hard to believe it was cross threaded that badly and an auto tech not be able to tell while they're putting it in that something isn't right. No plans to recommend or bring my vehicle back in.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Very honest, did the repair for MUCH LESS than the Toyota dealership, and it worked. Mike also told us that a lot of dealerships would try to get you to do the big repair of the rear main seal, but that he knew of something that is usually the problem that is far less expensive, and if he did an oil change, when he got the oil filter out of the way he would be able to replace this thing . . . Sorry I am not a mechanic, it might have been a gasket or a seal? Whatever it was saved us hundreds of dollars. We are very pleased with the service, and Mike delivered on time with no delays. We did book an appointment which was around 5 days after our first call, but he told us upfront that if we dropped the vehicle off the day we called, that he wouldn't be able to get to it for at least 4 or 5 days. So we scheduled and he had my truck for 2 days, which was exactly what he promised. And I believe the oil change, new oil filter, and the other part to fix the oil leak was $275. Will definitely be doing business with Hometown Auto in the future!! Thanks, Mike!!Mark & Tammy (2006 Tundra - gray)

Always great with communication! They are flexible with my schedule and have always told me exactly what they are doing and what to expect. I've always felt they listened were eager to help. Very capable mechanics and everyone has been friendly and professional. They even work with other shops to help get you the lowest price the can on parts.

Had my wife's Mazda CX-9 in to get the timing chain/water pump system repaired. The timing chain became loose and jumped some teeth after the water pump bearing gave out. I generally do all of my own mechanic work but just didn't have the time or space to do this big of a project and I wanted to take the car to someone who seemed trustworthy. It took a while for Michael to start working on my car but he was honest and kept me up to date on scheduling. I was also very happy with how honest and transparent he was with pricing. I knew every step of the way what the breakdown of costs were and in the end he knocked some of the price off for stuff that didn't get used (easily could have been dishonest about that). On top of honesty, he was extremely knowledgable and I had confidence from the first conversation that someone who knew what they were doing was opening up my engine cover. There was a slight issue when I picked the car up, but I was very impressed with the way it was handled and it was resolved very quickly and fairly. I've had the car back for a week now and I am very happy with the performance of the vehicle and am happy to have paid Michael to do that level of work in the engine.Services: Engine repair

This is an amazing shop with good people. I've had to take 2 of my vehicles there for separate issues and both times they gave me a great price and didn't feel like I was being ripped off or they were just trying to sell me something I didn't need. They've always been straight with me and told me what I needed immediately and what could wait. I really appreciate that and will continue to take all of my current and future vehicles there.
