Every year we pick a child from the angel tree to help a child or family in need. I’m happy they have members who care for the cause and making a difference within our community. Couldn’t be happier working with this organization.

Woman over the women's dorm was so rude and condescending. Screamed at me that there weren't any beds available and asked me if I was hard of hearing or ret**ded. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE! Mission of Hope in Stillwater is much safer and cleaner!

Every time I call for help I am denied either due to the worker not wanting to do anything or the programs closed. Either the program is done. Or ask for another and it hasn't started yet.God bless these people and this company for helping the families they actually help.

I’m extremely disappointed and can not believe the way I was treated by the “store manager” in Shawnee. I called on Tuesday to ask if they were taking donations again after COVID. I was told yes so I stated I would bring my donations by on Thursday at 10:00 am. I arrived at 10:30 on Thursday to find the gate locked so I went inside the store and asked the only person working there what I should do with my donations. She said leave them outside the gate (there was already several boxes & bags there). As I started to unload my donations a man yells at me telling me I can’t do that. He states he is the store manager. I explained I asked and was told to leave the items. He said can’t you read the sign, nothing is to be dropped off if the gates not open. I said I called, I also asked the store employee and I pointed out their hours to accept donations was 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and it was now 10:45. I asked him what should I do with my donations and he said it looked like junk and he would probably have to throw it away. I said it’s not junk, the boxes were just dirty. He said it looks like it’s been sitting in a garage. I said it has but the items in the boxes were good. He said he didn’t care he was not going to accept it, which totally shock me. I’ve been bring donations to Salvation Army for several years and never been treated like this. The donations were in the garage because of COVID and no one was accepting donations when I boxed the items. He said again he wouldn’t accept the donations which he called junk so I went to the main office to complain. A very nice lady told me she would meet me down at the store. I went back to the donation site and he still refused my donations. I opened the box to show her what was inside (wrapped drinking glasses, plates, and other kitchen items). She said it look nice but the man still refused. He was being so arrogant and condescending to both of us. She turned to me and said we could take it to a nearby dumpster or I could take it to Goodwill. I told her I couldn’t believe I was treated this way and I would never donate to them again. How disheartening it has been to be treated this way when I only wanted to help Salvation Army.
