Overall not a bad experience. Just make sure you have a credit card with you to rent it, even if you already paid for it. I had that issue. But the honda passport i rented was a great car. I traveled 3000 miles in it with no problem. The lumbar support was a little lacking but a small pillow did me fine..

Needed a car for 2 days while mine was getting worked on, did the online pre-reservation, essentially paid for. Went in to get the car with my ID, insurance and debit card, and ended up not passing their credit check. They wanted a $250 security hold for not passing the security check. I didn't see anything about that when doing the online reservation, must have been buried somewhere in their terms and service.

Besides the horrible service in this store, they stole $950 from our bank account. Seems to be a habit of this store to lie and charge unwarranted cleaning fees. And they charged them twice and will not return the extra.

Poor communication and hey insisted we drop the car instead of extending the rental. We had to drop off close to closing and were not able to fill the tank not vacuum. So I ended up paying and additional $500 for gas and supposed damages since it wasn't cleaned

Same as other reviewers, they make up bogus reasons to pad the bill. They claim the customer is responsible for routine washing and vacuuming of the car before return. Obviously this is not standard industry practice.

Charged ridiculous fees! Ended up paying more than double what I'd pay somewhere else. I had no choice as where I was broke down didn't have options. This was terrible!

0 stars if I could- Worst Customer Service EVER!!! To the lady that works at this specific Budget car rental (Stillwater, OK) should be fired or at very least not work with customers. She was rude, treated my husband as if he were a child, very condescending, and even looked at our card as if it were a fake and wouldn’t take it! I am Native and I assume she had a bad experience with other natives cause I felt the negativity and how she was treating us. We immediately left and will NEVER go back. To all that read this choose ANYWHERE ELSE to rent a car.

I have had one of the most disappointing experiences with Budget. I have rented a car in Stillwater(OK) with my international driving license (I’m over 25 years old) and I just wanted to pay the required amount to have the car for the duration of my stay. One of the employees in Stillwater(OK) branch told me that it is mandatory to have the following three services:1. Loss Damage Waiver ($30.99/day)2. Supplemental Liability Insurance ($15.72/day)3. ADR ($13/day)However, all of those services are indicated in the receipt as optional services which I made it clear to the employee when I was renting that I do not want any optional service, and she told me that they are mandatory to pay them.

First, they don't provide the same car or even a similar one for which you make payment. They lie about the car and put extra charges for nothing. Their service is too poor. I put 2 stars as the car they provided did not have any issue during our journey.

Literally the worst customer experience I've ever had. Reserved a car 12 days ago and paid for it online. I go to pick it up at the Stillwater location and they don't have an economy car like I had paid for. They say if I come back later they'll have one. I come back later, they still don't have one. Fine, they offer a free upgrade to an SUV, which has worse mileage but whatever. I give them my card to place the $300 hold on, and I get told that I can't use that card for it because "I don't know." So my mother drives out to let me place the hold on her card. Same thing. They can't use it either, because "I don't know, maybe it's because you reserved it online." So I have to call their customer service 800 number to cancel my reservation, and then place a new reservation for the SUV, and thus pay $40 more, using my mom's card (I couldn't use my own?). They then charge for the rental with her card AND do the hold charge using her card, even though it's the same card I was told wouldn't work in person five minutes earlier.Save yourself the hassle and go literally anywhere else in town to get a rental. This is the second time I've rented with Budget and the second terrible experience with them I've had.
