Tried to cancel my ADT service, after almost 7 years . I was canceling due to the exorbitant rate they wanted to charge me to replace the smoke and carbon monoxide alarms . The account manager continually lowered the price for my service and alarms, as I wouldn’t accept the offer. Why do companies not realize if they did this in the first place people would stay with them? I canceled my service.

This company is ridiculous. I paid 3 years up front. When I went to cancel after 3 years, they did not cancel it. I had to make multiple phone calls and got hung up on repeatedly. They said I owed $170. They finally "waived" the fees after 10+ hours on the phone. I thought everything was done. Nope. I got ANOTHER bill for $35. I finally just paid the $35 to get them off my back. I am sure there will be something else again. I would NEVER EVER EVER EVER use this company again.
After all of this, I have spoken to several other people about this and they have all had the same type of issue. Do not use this company. They are crooks.

This has been the worst experience. They came to get everything today cancelled not even 24 hours later. Never ever again. Also tore off my paint and walls taking it down. Stopping around and hitting things with stuff. Have it all recorded. As a young lady, they absolutely manipulated and used me. GO ELSEWHERE. Even calling customer service is enough to want to pull your hair out. So happy to see them leave my driveway!! Best part about it was them leaving with their equipment ?

I've reported false alarms going off at my house which has a home security system from ADT. On two separate occasions a repair man has cone out reporting to me that nothing is wrong with the system. Two more alarms, at separate times, went off again tonight and I spoke with another rude person that was in charge of the main ADT number on July 7 @ 12:10 a.m. She told me I can't get service until five days from now. I'm ready to get a full refund from this poorly run operation.

Worst cameras ever!House got burglarized cameras don't catch nothing!I can pull in my driveway (cameras don't register)They don't see until I've already made it in the front door. Have to be within 5ft! Sensitivity is on max.Cameras see headlights at night thats about it! Didn't realize the service was so terrible

I signed up with this company to get an alarm system after the maintenance man at Riverchase Apartments started stealing my things. I didn't read the print, but I had to move and knew I still needed an alarm system so I contacted them again. You have to have them take out your system before you move, they didn't tell me that when I called them. They lied to me. So I got a new system at the new place and found out I had to go through the next 3 years with them or I would be breaking the original contract. When I finally finished the contract and called them to say I was done, they bounced me around from one employee to the next for FORTY FIVE minutes before someone would take my information and cancel the stupid service. I will NEVER use them again, so I encourage you to read all the reviews before you think of signing up with this VERY UNETHICAL and rude company.

We went with ADT over various others in the competitive local market, as we’d had a pretty good experience with them in the 20-years since we had our last ADT system installed. Long familiar and comfortable with functionality of their smart phone app, as well as features contained in the software program, ADT just seemed like the logical choice. BIG MISTAKE!! Upon contacting ADT for a hardware install estimate on our new home, they sent out a pleasant young who gave us the low-down and provided an estimate based upon expressed needs in our new home. This young man advised a tech would be out to install the new security system and our home would be up, running and secure .. long before our scheduled 10-day vacation overseas. We were relieved .. and wrote a check for $10K. They wasted ZERO time cashing it…THAT is where the professionalism, proficiency and quality of service ENDED. This tech has been put to our home three times, without the time, necessary equipment or hardware to complete installation. In between? Numerous other dates requiring myself or wife to take off of work .. only to have the ADT tech cancel on us. TODAY was the LAST F’N STRAW!! Scheduled to depart in only DAYS, the tech CANCELS ON US AGAIN!! We’re EXACTLY TWO-SECONDS from calling ADT to come take their garbage out of our house .. so we can get a security company in here who actually knows what they’re doing and give a S*** about customer service!!If we didn’t have a vacation coming up in a couple of days, that call would have been made TODAY!!

Adt customer service is D-... my service hasn't worked correctly since June 2022, and they are still charging me $65 a month. Can't wait until our contract is up. Also my aunt is canceling hers also.ADT was trying to charge me $60 just to come out and put batteries in there own equipment... or try to charge me $30 for batteries. Lol

I pay about $70 a month and I'm only still doing that because I'm on a contract. The video quality is trash, I was mislead about what was included initially, the notifications are random and not helpful. But the worst part is , you literally only get 30 seconds of recordings from any event. I do not feel more safe or secure having this service. Save your money, DO NOT SIGN INTO CONTRACT. I will not be renewing this service and honestly it should be illegal to mislead customers into a false sense of security and hold them hostage through contract.

Any time you need service or tech support plan to be at your house on hold for at least 45 minutes waiting for them to answer the phone and then go through trouble shooting with them on the phone. They have the most frustrating and worst service. I asked her to schedule tech support with me right then or I would change services to someone that had better support and she said she would transfer me to Cancellations. BEWARE OF TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!!!

Awful experience. Installed equipment that never worked and after 6 months of having it serviced we finally cancelled, they came over to pick up their sensors and vandalized our house in the process! If I could, I would give them 0 stars!
