I rarely post reviews about a business, but I feel compelled to brag about this automotive shop. Mike at Alternative Automotive and his crew are the absolute best. I had electrical issues with a used Nissan. I had it in 3 different shops and spent almost 2000 dollars trying to get it repaired. The dealer ship wanted 4000k to repair it, and had the wrong diagnosis. Other shops told me to replace the ECM, sensors and wiring harnesses. Mike found the problem after one day- it turned out to be a short in a connector. The car runs great now!! I wish I would have known about this mechanic before I spend 2000 grand in the other 3 shops. Very knowledgeable and skilled mechanics, but also very honest. Sadly, that is not the case with many auto repairs shops today. I highly recommend this shop to anyone needing their car repaired. Honestly- 10 on a scale of 1-10. Robert Showler (Broken Arrow)

I had been told I'd need a new transmission. $6000 to $9,000. Alternative delved into the car and discovered it was a hose that had cracked, letting in gasps of air, mimicking shifting issues. Less than $100 parts and labor! I'm sold!!!

Went to the nearby dealership and got docked for an entire engine replacement. I couldn't believe that, especially since I practically babied the car. I heard really good things about these guys and decided to roll by for a second opinion, and holy moly I'm glad I did.
Mike took extremely good care of the whole ordeal and did it lightning fast as well, detailing everything they did and looked for, saving me loads of money, time, and frustration. Save yourself the nonsense and come straight here. They'll take proper care of you. I'd give more stars if I could!

I can't explain how grateful I am to these lovely people! They helped me a lot! They took my car in despite being very busy and fixed the problem. At other services, they told me that my engine was so bad that it needed a new one, but in fact, it was just the wrong oil filter. Mike was very patient in listening to my problem, and in a couple of hours, he fixed the problem for me. Immense gratitude and respect!

We're very happy with the service and the people we've interacted with at Alternative Automotive. Honest mechanics probably aren't as hard to find as people say, but I know the Pratt's and their employees are. For example, I had a horrible noise coming from under my truck, and I couldn't see a problem. I had it towed there, and even though they knew I thought it was going to be an expensive problem, and they could have charged a lot more than they did, it was a minor thing, and the cost was much, much less than I thought it would be. I've had other satisfactory interactions as well. Their honesty has earned them a loyal customer.

Alternative Automotive is a 5 star family owned auto shop in Tulsa. Very attentive, professional and honest. We dropped our 2010 Nissan Murano on the appointment day in the morning for air conditioning system cooling intermittently. The very same day in the afternoon, Mike contacted me with the diagnostic and complete explanation of the service required. The AC system was ok and it only needed a freon evacuation and recharge as it was very low on freon. They did a thorough inspection for system leaks. At the end, the repair bill was exactly just for the service provided. Our Nissan Murano is now blowing strong and super cool air. I highly recommend Alternative Automotive for auto shop services.

Made an appointment with Alternate Automotive and when we showed up they were ready to work. Good group of people that were honest and transparent.
Had an issue with our car A/C and they were able to pinpoint the problem and get it repaired. Another place in owasso wanted to replace the entire A/C system costing almost 4 times the amount. They were able to save us a good amount of money and did the repair in a timely manner. I would recommend them.

Outstanding auto mechanics. They took very good care of me and my car. They are very good at what they do, and they are HONEST. I put my car in, as it was making some strange noises. They looked at it and said the water pump needed to be replaced, and the tensioner pulley. I gave them the go-ahead, and they dove in. When they got in to it, the pulley just needed to be replaced with grease. A lot of people out there, would have changed me for the R&R, but they were honest. The owners are Christian and they run their business according to the principals laid out by Jesus. Very Highest Recommendation for these folks. Honest, high quality work,and they KNOW automobiles. Just be sure to call for an appointment, as this kind of quality workmanship keeps them pretty busy ? ? ?.

When my truck had an issue while I was out of town they quickly helped get it in and fixed. I am so thankful they were able to get it back up and running so I could get back home. Highly recommend.
