Terrible experience. When they first get the order from the insurance/doctor, they will roll out the 5 star service. Get you in and get your equipment setup. After that, good luck! I tried calling to get a different mask and nobody returns your call. It would be too late to change your mask when they scheduled me in. They will try to convince you to keep using the equipment because the company may force you to return it later. Nobody does. They hope you keep using the unwanted equipment so that they keep charging you monthly bills. The parent company does not have good communication with the local company. In the end, I drove to their office and dropped it off. Really sad to see companies take advantage of people with health issues.Update: if you have insurance and if they stop covering, do yourself a favor and immediately return the equipment. Company will continue billing you even though insurance is no longer covering it. Once you return it, they will try to claim the unpaid amount from the insurance from you. Don’t expect Rotech to keep you informed.

I would like to state that Sean, the manager and Howard were extremally helpful both over the phone, and during my visit to the office in Tulsa. As I am extremely new to the world of using oxygen for the first time, I had numerous questions and both of these gentlemen took the time to personally assist me on all of these occasions!! I was equally impressed by these gentlemen that I personally called and thanked them both!! I have thoroughly enjoyed my interaction with American Medical and the "Professionalism" accorded to me in my learning process!! Thank You for all of your assistance in my learning process!! Respectfully, John E. Coonce

Surprised by the negative views, I've had nothing but great service from these folks. The CPAP company itself is frustrating to work with, but the employees have been very helpful.

Recently supplied with a rotech Renalys Go Wound Vac. I had to return the first one due to error message reading "Blockage/Full" when there was absolutely no drainage in the canister. Requested manufacturer to send new one. Now sending 2nd one back, same error message. Maybe American Medical should look for a new wound vac supplier.by Saturday Sunday had

Just so you know ...If you call afterhours phone line and leave a message the monitoring staff are not "Allowed" to return your call per the staff. I've done A Lot of after hours on-call and I ALWAYS called my patients back so I'm not sure what you are supposed to do except continue to call, don't leave a message .

While in Tulsa for a week my friend had discovered a critical adaptor to her head gear for her Cpap machine got left behind in Texas. A quick peek on Amazon indicated the piece needed available, however delivery would be 2 weeks out. Google search indicated there were several businesses that could assist. The first business we visited upon arrival; doors were locked sign posted to call. Understandable, a company that supplies breathing equipment being cautious. Considering the company was located in a rather large RETAIL strip center. A phone call to be informed this particular company is not open to the general public, amusing (location, location, location) just their referred established clients from Local medical providers. Onward and upward to American Medical. First good sign, the door was open! After sanitizing my hands and masking up, again understandable. I was greeted and the young lady patiently listened, very friendly and you could see the concern on her face she truly wanted to help. Without excuses as to we don't sell to general public, we have to have Dr's orders, bla bla bla she quickly got her manager who was already headed in my direction and clearly also wanting to assist. She explained the bla bla blapolicy and procedure no one ever wants to hear however, understands that sometimes life happens, and exceptions can be made. While she was not able to sell anything she would check with a technician and see if perhaps there was an open package that had the piece needed. A rather comical ordeal to open all the zippers and compartments to the cpap case to locate the said headgear took a minute so the manager went to get the technician. Meanwhile I had to get my friend out of the car to come in and show us where and how to access this Cpap equipment obviously not your standard issue had more zippers than Michael Jackson's Red Thriller Jacket! Finally opened, the technician quickly knew the part needed and indeed had one. These three kind and compassionate employees of American Medical could have simply chosen to follow policy and send us away. They did not. This true act of compassion had restored my faith in human kindness. I'm confident that even if the open package did not contain the adapter needed, these three would have come up with a different solution for the problem. It is so refreshing to come across people with such integrity. This is clearly the exception to the rule. In the future if I'm need of medical equipment and American Medical is a provider, I would hands down do business with them. I can only imagine how awesome they are with the medical red tape, Medicare, Medicaid, Insurance all the bla bla bla. I am so grateful for the three amigos in the Tulsa office, Thank you again.

Rotech uses predatory billing practices to take advantage of the elderly or anyone else regardless of insurance. They tried to balance bill me which is illegal. Go anywhere else that isn't a Rotech affiliate.

Will never use them again, charged me 3 times for the same units, also doctor called 4 times to discontinue service and said they never heard from him, stated they were picking up units against medical advice.
