Service was a little lacking but the location is great and the coffee and pastries are really good. They have patio seating and a fireplace.

I stopped in to grab a drink and some desserts to take home. This is a cute place with a gorgeous selection of desserts in the display case. Some of the prettiest cakes I've ever seen!Unfortunately, the things I ordered looked better than they tasted.I had ordered a sausage biscuit but I guess someone snagged the last one at the same time so I was offered a bacon scone instead. That was fine, since I would have ordered that instead had I known it existed. The first bite was incredible. My next bite was raw biscuit dough. I broke it in half and confirmed the whole thing was cooked pretty unevenly. I salvaged about a third of it and it tasted great, but I ended up throwing most away. Two cookies were fine. Key lime pie tasted like a savory custard instead of a sweet dessert-- the crust was really good though. The peach cheesecake was the bright spot- really good. We got two drinks. Both were fine. The person at the cash register was nice. The drink menu board rotates so it is kind of hard to make a selection while standing at the register. If you want to try a specialty drink or don't know exactly what you want, I recommend you check out a menu online in advance-- I ended up with an iced tea instead of something more exciting because I didn't want to hold up the line.

As I read the other reviews I’m not surprised to see “rude staff”. I am so disappointed and shocked with my experience as short as it was... Yesterday, was my VERY FIRST TIME at the coffee shop on cherry st. I walk in, I stand and try to decide what I want, a guy walks up next to the cashier & helps me decide, which was nice ALTHOUGH, when the cashier told me my total, (keeping in mind I was buying 2 coffees and did not expect them to be so expensive) I TOLD the cashier that I would have to run to my car to get more money, as I’m walking out the guy that helped me decide what I wanted YELLS “Is she leaving?!?!”, so I turn around (halfway out the door) and say “no I just need to run to my car and get some more money..”he replies “then next time, you need to let us know!!” In the rudest tone ever, AND after I just told the cashier what I was doing!!!!!!!!! (Like what the heck I did tell you!!) SO, as me and my friend are going out to go to my car, me friend hears the guy say “can you believe that?” to the cashier! At this point I am SHOOK from my first impression of this coffee shop, and I’m completely HUMILIATED as he yells at me in front of the whole store, making it out like I’m broke or a walk out, because of this guy I did not return to buy coffee, but looking at reviews I’m glad I didn’t by the looks of it their foods “rotten” sometimes, and there coffee is “watered” down.

The Feng shui in that place is off somehow. But the wifi was strong, and the coffee was, too. $16 for a sandwich and a drip coffee.

i'm fairly new to the area, and this has kinda turned into the spot that i go with people who are visiting up here. most of the gluten free pastries i've had in the past have been pretty crummy (several senses), but everything i've had here has been pretty good. even just the plain coffee was really good if you're not emotionally prepared to drop latte money. really good teas. etc. good place to sit around. can get pretty crowded. got the tangerine ginger tea. unless i forgot the name. sorry. came out very hot, tastes very good, get it with honey . tea bag's loungin in the cupVegetarian options: trying my hardest to get my vegan sister up here. sadDietary restrictions: a LOT of gluten free/dairy free food

Feels like a place that started off grassroots and inclusive only to become too cool to the level of being pretentious (staff and customers).

Ordered a dirty matcha latte (matcha latte w/ a shot of espresso) was questioned on “how that would taste”Paid the ridiculously high price around $3 for the shot and they didn’t add it in. Which wasn’t a problem.I asked the barista if it had a shot of espresso and he was kind of rude told me he didn’t get a ticket for it.The correct response would have been to ask either the cashier or the manager both whom were present when I ordered.I didn’t want to make a scene. We paid $50 for breakfast tacos, avocado toast and 2 drinks.Way overpriced and for smug idiots to bumble a simple order.Food was tasty though.

Waited 25min for an order. Nobody greeted me. Just expected people to go to the register and hand over funds. Definitely needs better customer service. Time is money and money is time.
