They must have hired more staff. This store has been more organized and stocked in the last few weeks than I’ve ever seen it before. Hopefully it stays this way

Update: NO frozen section, it's in the parking lot now. Usually a good selection in stock of both holiday and core items. A larger store than other Dollar Tree stores in the area. Great selection of balloons.

Kaleb had a hard day today lol. I had a carry basket full of items to purchase for Valentine’s Day. I walked up to check out and Kaleb has his light turned off while helping another customer checking out so I ask which register will be open and bothered by my question he replied I don’t know??? So I chuckled to myself and thought ok let me go see if either lane looks open, he got frustrated and told me register 3.
I put my items on the conveyor belt and patiently wait for the new clerk to come and check us out. No one showed up so Kaleb came back over and said I guess you can come over here to check out since no one is going to come up here. I’m irritated but I scoop up my items, put them back into my basket and go to register 1 where he is telling another customer who I let go in front of me that he doesn’t get paid enough for this bullshit and he should be counting his till, he has no idea where his co worker disappeared to. I smile uncomfortably and ask if he wants me to go look for the other clerk to check me out? He responded with “ No I don’t. I just really don’t get paid enough to deal with this god damn bullshit. “
I’m super uncomfortable by this point and just want my crap so I can leave, I contemplated just walking out to go to a different store. He finished checking me out and I said I hope you have a better day Kaleb. He responded “yeah I’ve been trying to. “
While I realize this may not be a dream job a little professionalism goes a long way. He could’ve displayed his blatant disparity without cursing over and over and I probably wouldn’t have shared this because we all have bad days and things going on outside work but man... Here I am almost 10 hours later and I’m still thinking about poor Kaleb. Get him some help up at the front or let him work in the back, give the man a day off or something he obviously is over worked and underpaid.
