This place is decent.
A few things if you don’t mind.
1. Elevator closes the door in 4 seconds. That is wayy too fast in my opinion. Zero chance you can push something out. Turn around for second without the door closing.
2. THIRD floor elevator lip is busted. Making it harder to push carts in. Carts are plastic wheels and not rubber. Should be an easy fix. 20 mins… and let it dry over night. Or SOMETHING. Screw a metal plate on it??? Maybe??
I simply see it “as my business” and what I can do to make it better.
“If this was my storage unit, what would I do here…” is what goes on in my mind.

The store representative at the 1440 E 71st st is the best! He deserves a raise! Definitely leaving a good impression on the company.

I am a senior citizen, 71 years old, and it has been absolutely many many years since I have had such a wonderful customer service! James, was outstanding, so helpful, so patient, walked me through all the steps, make sure I got the app on my phone correctly, and make sure I knew how to work the lock on the units in the climate control section, and those locks are so simple and fascinating. Extra Space Storage is very fortunate to have an employee such as James! Daniel 1030

Well. Honestly, it started out great. Price was right for a nice sized unit. Then outta nowhere the rate doubled…. It wasn’t promotional pricing or deal of any kind. It just doubled. So. If you wanna have a budget and have it double, these folks will serve you perfectly.

Quick and easy!
We are working on a project that no longer fits in our office. We needed a space for extra storage and followed a recommendation to call Robert at Extra Space Storage.
So glad we did!
He explained our options, walked us through the whole process, and made the whole process just go as smooth as butter.
Whether we keep the unit long term or just keep coming back, we will consider this our go-to storage facility. No reason to look anywhere else.
Clean. Safe. Friendly. Secure. Ticks all the boxes.

So pleased.
Everything about getting our storage unit and getting it filled went smoothly.
Robert helped us pick what would be best for our needs. He knew his stuff and knew just how and when to help.
We haven't used any sort of outside storage in a while so were not sure how everything worked. Being walked through step by step was reassuring.
We made the right choice.
