I went in just to get some fabric and while I was there the person doing the fabric wasn’t available and so I went up to the front for help and was sent back and told they would let the person know I was on my way. After waiting for several minutes I went back to the front and told the lady I spoke to previously nobody was there and she proceeded to be extremely rude to me and told me “I don’t know what to tell you”. I will never return. This lady was rude to everyone that came into contact with her. The lady’s name was Erin.

I usually love this store and I try not to exhibit Karen traits but an employee really rubbed me the wrong way today. I asked for her help opening the locked spray paint cabinet and she acted like I had really inconvenienced her. She told me sharply that she didn’t have the key, then as if remembering that it was her job to help customers, called for someone else on the walkie. She seemed SO ANNOYED. Older, maybe 60s. Put me in the worst mood.

I live near this Michael's and have tried again and again to get sewing supplies from here since Joann closing. But the selection is so mediocre I usually can't find what I need and have to order online or go to Hobby Lobby. Lately I needed Odif 505 spray, some iron-on tear-away stabilizer, and some schmetz embroidery needles, all very basic notions for quilting and embroidery, and none were to be had at Michaels. I got all three at Hobby Lobby no problem. For personal reasons I would rather shop anywhere but Hobby Lobby, but this Michael's at 41st and Yale is failing pretty bad at being competitive in the sewing/quilting/embroidery space.

I came in to purchase balloons for an event and was directed by the red-haired cashier to use a self-checkout machine I was unfamiliar with. I was clearly struggling, even with bagging my own items, yet instead of offering assistance, she laughed at me. It was disappointing to feel mocked rather than supported.
If this is the level of customer service Michael’s provides—where employees stand by and watch customers struggle without offering help—it’s concerning. A little courtesy and professionalism go a long way, and I hope this is addressed appropriately.
Bring back real cashiers please.

Was in 2 days in a row. 1st day to purchase a blueprint tube or a portfolio. I snagged the tube. Marabel was very helpful. Upon entry, she greeted me (and every other customer) with a smile, then she informed me of where I could find them. At check out, she was helping another customer, but informed me there were self checkout lanes. She was also sure to wish me a good day.
2nd day was to drop off a UPS package. Once again, I was greeted, then wished a wonderful day by Marabel. Kudos to whomever hired her!

Always has a great clearance section. Deals on brand based purchases, as well as store wide discounts. Regularly go to get craft supplies.

Today I had an amazing visit with the manager Larry and the sweet blonde up front at the register. Long story short I went in sad and frustrated with a very big and expensive problem but they took care of me and I left there very satisfied. Thank you so much for making my day and now the rest of my week so much better I'm very professional I will continue to stay at the store instead of the other ones around town. Larry is definitely doing it right in there. The day before was a great experience also, with very fast assistance on the sales floor. Thank you.
