Update: Since my service at this shop, which I initially gave a great review, problems have come to light. My tires were rotated, but they were not balanced, and now I'm getting a hard pull to the left and a vibration on all roads. I'm glad they gave me a good price, but I'm very concerned about issues I'm now having. I hope someone contacts me concerning this!
My manager's coupon would not ring up the right price. The manager of the store adjusted the price, and I ended up saving money for a full service. Great experience!

Had an appointment set and approved for today at 1130 but when I got there 15 minutes early was told there were a couple of cars in front of me and a fleet of Amazon vans and the tech that would be looking at our car would be full up until tomorrow maybe even the next day. I understand if they have contracts with Amazon but when a customer, paying or not, makes an appointment and you approve it and something comes up on your end you should probably let that customer know ahead of time so they don't upset there whole day of schedules.

I had brake service done on my vehicle in December of 2023 at another location, which compelled me to go back to Pep Boys because the parts were still under warranty. I never used Pep Boys before then, and after yesterday, I never will again.
The first time in 2023, they did not call my warranty company, and the rotors on my were covered but only if the shop made contact beforehand. It was a very costly error for me.
I told them the same thing at a different location regarding the calipers which went out and they did it to me again at a different location on Admiral, so it must be an unwritten policy not to deal with warranty companies. So there is that to be aware of.
But after the service was performed yesterday on Admiral, my brakes were very squishy, not feeling engaged until the pedal was almost to the floor. I had to nearly stand on the pedal to come to a jerky stop. Immediately, I turned back to have it fixed, and they told me the car stops as it should, but they'll test drive it. They took it a little further than I got and again told me the car stops as it should and don't understand what I'm talking about, never heard of this issue, and never heard of the ability to adjust how grippy the brakes are, all but telling me I'm imagining things when they told me there was no issue to resolve.
Also, at the counter and in front of my 10 and 12yo, while taking forever to get the card reader going and after asking me how I like my Expedition because he is about to be a dad and wants to change from his Mustang, all was fine until he and another employee started talking about what mistakes they had with having children because of their young ages. I held my children and said what a great adventure parenting is, and they chortled.
That guy told me he had to talk to his manager after I explained I've had to have brakes adjusted before and never had a problem or been told that this issue is unresolvable. When he came back he said they already bled the lines when they made the repair and his manger won't let them touch it any more, flat out refusing to make it right.
Furthermore, I don't think he actually talked to a manager at all because while trying to get the computer to take my payment before changing to the other computer, he also made it known to the employee he commiserated with about his parenthood that he was missing a manager's meeting to take my payment. After telling me that as a former tech, he never heard of anything I was telling him, he told me the manager is in a meeting and won't be able to come talk to me.
They are just so completely disorganized, do not know their jobs, do not know how to serve customers' needs, are immature, and condescending.

**Do yourself a favor and avoid this location***
Bought a battery online sunday afternoon. Website said it was an exact fit for my vehicle. Showed up at the store to pick it up. They said they didn't know if the battery was there and it was near closing time and the manager was too lazy to look for it but he would try. It was a weird detail to throw in there but he found it and said it was the wrong battery and they closed down the system early for the day so they couldn't do an exchange or anything. Left and called today and Austin answered the phone and I said I bought a battery online yesterday and he interrupted and started telling me they don't do refunds in that store and it would mess up there drawer for the day if it was over $70. I said I hadn't even told him what I needed yet and I just wanted to exchange it for the correct one. it is a $10 difference. he began to tell me it was $70 difference. I told him I just needed battery only which is a $10 difference. he said website has different prices and to call customer service. he refused to listen to me or help. I now have $200 tied up in Pep Boys and my car is sitting in my driveway and I am stuck waiting for customer service to call me back. I will never use Pep Boys again. I have worked in sales for 20 years and if I had a sales rep who did this they would no longer have a job.
