Bill and his team renovated our bathroom, and we could not be happier with it. It is beautiful! Everything was great from start to finish. Prior to our renovation, the layout of our bathroom was terrible. Bill was able to see outside the box and came up with a creative plan and a fantastic new layout. The project was completed on time, and we got everything that we wanted and stayed within our relatively tight budget. It seemed that staying within the limits of our budget was as important to him as it was to us. I was also impressed with how responsive he was. When I sent him an email or text with a question or concern, he generally responded within a few hours. When there was a slight hiccup, it was typically resolved the next day. All of the people who worked on the renovation were very professional. I have heard horror stories about renovations, and this was not the case. Overall, it was a pleasant and fun experience.

To semi truckers only!!!!!!
Please call them as soon as you know you are delivering to them if you have a semi. If you have their address on Yale as delivery. Even if it is after hours, leave a message. THEY do call back after hours (I called early, not saying if you call at 2am, you would get a call back). You can NOT take a semi down their road. They will instruct you what to do. What I might tell you at the time you read this might be outdated.

It is always a pleasure to work with Bill, Julie and their crew of artisans. This time around the job needed to be done as quickly as possible and these folks did not disappoint. The design in kitchen and baths looks as good as I imagined and I had high expectations! Bill was readily available for consultations and willing to make my ideas work. Bill Powers was easy to work with and managed our addition and renovation on a 1935 house very well from design through construction. He stayed on a reasonable schedule and communicated changes timely. His subs are high quality particularly his carpenters/craftsmen and the tile guys were excellent. Bill communicates frequently with updates and provides alerts if unforeseens occur in a timely manner. Overall, very satisfied customers.Services: Home addition construction

I'm sitting in my new sunroom addition to our home while I write this review with a big smile on my face. I can not recommend Bill Powers and his team of professionals enough! One of the most important aspects of going forward with a home addition project is the level of communication and responsiveness from the contractor. Any time we had a question or wanted to receive some feedback from Bill, we always had a reply the same day. He kept us updated every step of the way. The subcontractors working on our sunroom were very knowledgeable and valued craftsmanship. We felt like each one of them went above and beyond to make sure their part of this project was completed with the utmost attention to detail. I had a great experience working with Bill to remodel two bathrooms in my home. Master bath was a complete remodel. We moved walls, plumbing, electrical, everything. I was very happy with the quality of work performed by the builders, electricians, plumbers, tile workers, painters, and dry wall workers. Everything came out looking really good, and within the originally quoted budget. I am very happy with the final product and the professional work that was done at my home. I would recommend Powers Design, and would be happy to work with Bill again in the future if the opportunity arises.

Worked with Bill to renovate almost the entire house. Moved walls, switched the kitchen and dining rooms to make one large kitchen/living/dining area. Added a screened porch and converted a bedroom into a beautiful en suite bath and closet. Bill was great in maximizing every inch of space in an 1,800 sq ft house!Bill was easy to work with, great with scheduling with little to no down time. The most recent project completed by Powers Build and Design was the replacement of 20 windows and the front door / sidelights in our 1922 Craftsman home. This was our 3rd project with Powers Build and Design since 2015. There are many reasons we continue to trust Bill and his team for work done. Bill is always available, routinely checks on the project (daily), and keeps us apprised of any issues. His crews clean up at the end of each day and are polite and a pleasure to have in and around our home. Since 2015, Powers Design and Build have completely remodeled and renovated our home. Bill with Powers Design and Build did a great job for us on our major house renovation. This was our second time using them (the first was a rebuild of our detached garage). Our house was taken down to the studs, had a structural issue corrected, the upper and lower floorplan reworked for more space and better flow, all new electrical, plumbing and insulation, and one room converted into an owners en-suite bathroom with a walk-in closet. Everything turned out beautifully and mostly on-time (dealing with pandemic supply shortages was not fun). We used Bill Powers to perform a major remodel/addition to add a kitchen and bathroom to our house.We were extremely happy with the quality of work that Bill performed, as well as with his responsiveness. Moreover, Bill was able to tour our house, talk with us, and during our first meeting sketch out an outline that gave us everything we wanted from our new kitchen. Powers design blew the roof off, literally! They moved staircases, raised a new 2nd story roof, updated all windows, gutted and rebuilt master suite and kitchen all while working with us to maintain the 1929 character of the house. He is a master at scheduling and making sure down days are kept to a minimum! His crews are professional and very meticulous at their crafts! After 9 months, we are in our massively renovated home and absolutely love it I am not much of a photographer but here are a few after pics. We recently remodeled the lower level of our house with the help from Powers Design/Build.Items included in the remodel were – Added Half Bath, Added Utility Room, Removed three walls and two doors, Raised a sunken living area, Enlarged and fully remodeled the kitchen, and Updated the fireplace.For this type of undertaking, I was adamant that whoever managed the project have 1. A Plan, 2. A Pre-Defined Budget, and 3. A Reasonable and Realistic Timeline (I knew it couldn’t get done in two weeks).Having driven past the Powers Design/Build sign on Yale for many years, I decided to contact Bill. Bill was super enthusiastic and didn’t hesitate to explain the process, potential pricing, and the services he offers. Remember when I mentioned that I required the Plan/Budget/Timeline? Bill provided all three as part of his standard process – very professional. Some may not think this is a big deal, but if you have ever worked with a contractor who doesn’t have a plan, it can be very frustrating.All of Bill’s technicians/employees/craftsmen are top notch, clean, professional, and produce excellent work. We contracted Powers Design & Build for 2 of our remodeling phases. After obtaining several quotes for our renovation, we contracted with Powers because he was the most responsive to our ideas as well as the most knowledgeable and professional contractor.
