RUN! Don’t walk!
I had a deeply frustrating experience with Providence RX and I feel compelled to share it to WARN OTHERS. I went to fill two prescriptions that I urgently needed, only to be told that they would not fill them unless I also filled another non-controlled prescription at their location. This type of prescription-bundling is not only unethical, but it’s also highly inconvenient for customers who may rely on different pharmacies for various medications due insurance coverage, or medication availability.
Not only did they refuse to fill my prescription based on this unreasonable condition, but the pharmacy staff also showed little empathy for my situation and seemed more focused on NOT gaining a long term customer than actually helping me with my medical needs.
I’ve never encountered such restrictive and coercive practices at any pharmacy before, and it was incredibly disappointing, especially after my insurance company said that Providence was in network and called to confirm that they could fill my prescription!
Pharmacies are supposed to prioritize patient care and provide professional service, not create unnecessary obstacles for people already dealing with health challenges. I urge others to TAKE YOUR PHARMACY NEEDS ELSEWHERE- if you value a pharmacy that respects your medical needs and quality of care.
