The Salvation army is an absolute scam and joke. The poor guys who are there work their tails off for $7 a week. Not $7 per hour, but per week! I was a "client" there in 2022 and we would work 48 hours per week in that incredibly hot and dirty warehouse for that pitiful pay and they get away with it by calling what we get paid GRATUITY. When you first arrive they sign you up for Food Stamps and keep YOUR stamps. They are scamming the system and need to be exposed and shut down.
I remember one day a donor came for a walk-through with the Captain. They had SPECIFICALLY told us to NEVER speak with the donors, but she came straight to me. She asked me about my job. I told her I ran the electronics department and sent all my products to the stores and the weekly auctions. Then she asked me if i got paid well enough for "working in the hot warehouse?" To which I laughed and told her "No ma'am. I get $7 per week which is as about .$15 an hour." The Captain tried to cut me off but I had already said it. He was deeply offended and whipped up a quick story and said "That was their old pay, we're still working out the new pay rate." I can still picture the look on that woman's face. She was mortified she had donated and supported S.A.
SA is able to get away with it by calling it WORK THERAPY. All they really care about is how much money they can make at their stores and their auctions. I'm sure when the SA was founded and began they really were interested and focused on helping people. But the man has become a monster. Clients are no longer people, just numbers who they get free labor out of and makes them money. Shut these corrupt crooks and thieves down! DO NOT donate or support the Salvation Army!!!

None - but it’s part of the OAK Division in which we have a family interest. I like your imaginative posting. God bless and use you during these demanding times. “He is able, more than able.........”
