Before signing your UHAUL rental, check out the fine print, you could be signing away your option to sue UHaul and will have to handle your issues with UHAUL by Arbitration!!!!I arrived after hours at the UHaul in Phoenix 10/2/2023 to drop off the UHaul Auto Transporter and take my car and the UHAUL truck with me. I unhooked everything from the auto transporter that was securing my car in place. When I attempted to reverse my car off the auto transport trailer is when the damage occurred. The front bumper of the car(2019 Mercedes CLA 250) was caught/hung over the front bar/plate area of the auto transporter, so when I reversed my car it broke my bumper, clips around the front wheel well and side railings; with the drivers side wheel well later coming off, and undercarriage broken and hanging from underneath the car. At this point, the car is stuck on the trailer and I now have to reattach the auto transporter secure straps and chain and then go searching for an automotive place to assist me with removing my car. I found a place. They had to jacked the car up while it was on the trailer, so that it would be above the bar on the auto transport trailer and then I was able to reverse the car off of the trailer. The equipment had to be faulty or a protective cushion should have been placed in the front of the vehicles to prevent the vehicle from being damaged. My UHaul insurance coverage with Repwest was denied because the damage to my car was not due to a Collision and UHAUL will not pay for the $2500-$3100 damages to my car. UHaul has done absolutely nothing to correct this issue, but they did tell me I would be unable to sue them, because when customer signs the UHAUL agreement they are signing to agree to ARBITRATION for legal issue resolution with UHaul.

Today, I spoke with Assstant to the Marketing Company Manager, and she told me that UHAUL is not responsible for my negligence since I was the person who took the car off the transport. She said " I am 100% sure that someting had to have happened to the trailer between Oklahoma to Arizona because if there was no problems loading the car onto the trailer when you left Oklahoma , then there should be no problem with you unloading the car from the trailer"..huh??? She was a little hostile with her tone and let me know she has been doing this for 24 years!! I then said, should the UHaul rep have placed a bupper or a guard in the from of the trailer to prevent any vehicle from being caught or could a previous customer have damaged the trailer causing the car to hang on the bar... Nope, Ms J. says " we would clearly be able to see if someone damaged our equipment, and if there was damage with the auto transport when RepWest Insurance Company for UHaul, would have seen it and made note of it during their investigation of my case,". I then said, there was no investigation, because the damage was not due to a collison. She then says "Repwest is not going to just deny a claim without investigating", (What I didn't bother to tell her was the trailer was rented out 2 days after I had returned it. This is the level of service I have been dealing with for 4 months. How about this UHAUL!!! FIX MY CAR and take the damaged trailer out of your fleet or install bumper protectors to prevent this issue from happening to other customers.

This location appears to be a fine oiled machine. My last U-Haul experience was with your broken arrow location and not a good experience. So bad in fact I swore I would never use U-Haul again.I decided maybe it was just the Broken Arrow location and not U-Haul as a whole. So I decided to try this location. I was happy to see that indeed it was just the broken arrow location and not U-Haul as a whole.You should be proud of this location, they restored my confidence in U-Haul and my business

An enlargement of the passenger driver side. The cargo vans are not meant for people above 5'11. I am 6'5 and have extreme difficulties driving the van. The step down needs to be different because predominantly it's at the same level of the van, it would be much better if they were removed.

The process was smooth, but I got the truck with just shy of a quarter of a tank of gas, I drove the truck 14 miles and was told I needed to get the gas gage above a quarter of a tank or I would be charged over 40 dollars. ....even though it was less than a quarter of a tank when I got it.

I completely forgot about putting gas in the truck. I drove 18 miles they charged me for 19 gallons of gas and a $30 gas fuel charge which was never mentioned to me when I set up the rental.

There is always so many trucks parked around the buildings blocking access to people getting in the buildings to their climate controlled units. It was not like this 7 years ago when I got my unit but the last couple years it's been this way, driving all the way over here to find nowhere to park or having to park by office and walk to storage building and being physically disabled this is absolutely unacceptable

Our experience with U-Haul deserves 5 stars! The Cargo Van was clean and comfortable, and it made our move a quick and easy one. We ended up needing to extend our reservation which we were able to do with a quick, easy, and hassle free phone call. We would definitely recommend to friends and family!
